Listen God said Adam I want some company, all the other animals in the garden of eden have a partner. There's girl and boy pigs, girl and boy tigers, even girl and boy mice. I want a partner.

Many reasons. I would give just two -
1. To let man have more wisdom to tackle/handle the woman
2. To avoid the woman's opinion on how the man should be made.

How many women does it take to change a lightbulb? Dunno, it's never been done... helpless, always asking us men to do everything that's even a bit labor-intensive. And then, of course, they'll make a joke to ridicule us for how we do what they asked us to do because they couldn't do themselves to begin with.
