also would they force yahoo to pull answers off the net, as they did with some sites

sorry to americans if u are a scientologist just in the uk its not a religion so im not slagging off religion

even though its evil and corrupt a world wide scam and did i mention CULT!

I don't think anything would happen. There is however, the possibility that Tom Cruise who is a full Professor of Psychiatry at Scientology U. will give you the lecture of your life on why there is nothing wrong with you,even after you have committed suicide because of depression , which according ti him, does not need treatment. On the other hand, you may not hear from him at all., He is so busy brainwashing Katie Holmes that he doesn't have time for anything else.

T-Rex cult and religion have two separate definitions therefore they are NOT the same. A religion is set rites, rituals and practices coupled with the worship of God(s) or higher power etc. A cult is a popular following of a set of ideas or person, usually surrounding a person with particular views on life etc. Cults are seen as sinister as they have a bad reputation, there can be religious cults that are loosely based on a legitimate religion e.g. The Children of God (now called The Family.)

I too am from the UK where Scientology is not recognized as a religion because people are not convinced that paying vast amounts of money for classes or treatments offered by the religion as worship so does not meet the definition of a religion. Also, the exact nature of the worship within the Church of Scientology is debatable. I know little of Scientology, however I do know that they are against mood altering drugs and believe in self development. To me, that is no bad thing. However, one cannot deny that stories of people being followed in the so called "fair game" policy after having insulted the Church and having criminal records publicized as well as there being PDF's made of known criticizers are suspicious.

But who am I to judge?

I am a Scientologist and I'm used to this forum being used
to "slag off" most every religion that exists on earth.
Why should Scientology be an exception..... I'd be insulted if we were left out!!!

All religion are cults by definitions. What is your hang up with Scientology? Have they done something specifically to you? I doubt it? You only know what you have learn from a third party. Every person I personally question turns out to know know nothing first hand about Scientology.

Go ahead and slag 'em off - though it might be better to put forward points for debate, and ideally question to be answered.

I have to say that the more I find out about Scientology, the more deranged it seems. And unlike the other dotty belief systems hereabouts, it's pretty much purpose-built to suck people onto the treadmill, drain 'em dry, and turn them into indentured slaves.

I would however appreciate hearing from anyone to the contrary.
