but quite pleased, the elderly lady plays with the kitten. Suddenly a bigger ugly cat, the kitten's mother appears. The daughter goes home; the elderly lady being left with the two cats.

The old lady seems to be a distant relative of some sort coming to try to make ammends for the past hurts that had happened in your life, and she bring gifts of sincerity, but gets taken away when someone comes along with unforgiveness in the past and steals the gift of forgiveness away by not letting go of the past, and the circumstances or issues don't get resolved, and everyone stays in their own domains of what if, because a loved one won't allow someone to forgive and let go of that situation. also that the person did make an effort but wasn't good enough for the other person.
