According to press reports, EIGHT officers went to Morinho's house to take his dog away.

They failed. One Yorkie has more brains than 8 stupid fools.

We get the police we deserve.

I hope vhe dog bite THEIR children!

There's some dodgy answers on here! I was particularly amused by the gentleman who wants protection from the Police but also a Police budget cut which would result in less Police, duh!

As for the number of officers it took to remove a dog, do you who criticise know all the circumstances? And was it accurately reported by our 'oh so honest' press? Probably not. It could have just been that 8 officers were in the area at the time and 'they had nothing better to do', to coin a phrase!

Thanks for taking notice of your caring Police force doing what they are paid to do (by yours and their own taxes)

Could you imagine the result of a lone policeman going to the house, he would not get a word in. Morinho is from Portugal you see how his police have copped with the little missing girl, hopeless and you have the nerve to call our police stupid, get alife looser.

Dear "sister_godzilla"...I have a bachelors degree in accounting and I'm taking the Police test next month in hopes of becoming an officer...therefore, your theory was just proven wrong!

To understand the police in the UK is helpful if you first learn English and then maybe you can read the newspapers and get the facts right.

Yes 'according to press reports', do you believe everything you read in the press? What an awful inconsiderate thing to say after what recently happened to many children being killed or seriously injured by dogs. Also what do you mean by 'our money'? police officers pay taxes too idiot!!

If the police have time to ticket people for lack of seat belt use, there are too many of them. And they are overpaid.
The police need to protect us from other people. And it wouldn't hurt if they helped out a person in a difficult situation, either. The police do not need to protect us from ourselves. Cut the budget of the police state.
