And its not neccessarily that I don't believe, i just want some answers to these questions for people who do believe...

1. Why do people suffer? How come God makes bad things happen to good people. Despite so-called "Free Will" if there truly is a God - he would have the power to stop bad things from happening to good people.

2. Why would God wait so long to put us on the earth? In the bible it says, "in the beggining he created the heavens and the earth" - well why wouldnt he put people on earth right away instead of things like dinosaurs and blowing them away with an asteroid - if you're God, that seems kind of pointless.

3. The bible was created by humans, humans are imperfect, so the bible is imperfect. why do people think the bible is totally correct when it clearly isnt it. like creationsism for example. You;re gonna tell me adam and eve were suddenly placed on the earth? so that would mean they had children, then the children had sex with each other? seems ungodly.

very good insightful answers - i have read them all. I'm confused at the fact that each and every one of you are so sure about your asnwer, yet, their all different.

Real, quick i gotta laugh at the guy who said:

"Back to dinosaurs - sorry to blow your illusions man and dinosaurs cohabited the earth at the same time. They were plant eaters and scavengers not the ferocious meat-eaters portrayed in Jurassic Park. There were some aboard Noah's Ark, but did not last several generations after due to the difference in weather and vegetation requirements. "

HAHAHAHA

Are you kidding me? You just lost all credibility with your entire answer when you said that. dinosaurs became extinct

1. A) God does NOT "make" bad things happen. Poor word choice. B) You're looking at the question wrong way forward. Try this instead. Imagine your life WITHOUT free will. Do you really want absolutely NO SAYSO in how, what, where, you live your life? Remember, even the worst of humans is still a beloved child of God. If you, presumably a basically decent human being, are given the gift of free will, then in all justice, so should they. That they misuse the gift is tragic, but the alternative is nightmarish in the extreme.

2. A) You're confusing time w/eternity. From God's point of view, since He dwells in the eternal NOW, it all happened NOW. And just think, if you're infinite you gots lots of room to create stuff. If you're eternal you got all the time there is to let what you create do its own schtick. And since ALL of creation responds according to the Laws of Physics, HIS laws, it's no biggie when in that conformity an asteroid smashes the you-know-what outta earth. B) NOTHING is pointless when it's done with love. And God creates with love because God IS love personified.

3. Too right, my friend. I keep telling people: the Bible is NOT a science textbook. It is NOT a history lesson, well.... except for certain aspects of the Jewish nation and frankly there's a lot of sleazy court intrigues and even sleazier goings-on behind the throne in that history. Oddly enough that bald honesty adds versimilitude to the history part. It is NOT a biology lab. Its SOLE raison d'etre is to introduce a person to God. In the first 5 books to try and prove He is the ONLY God who IS God. That's what the Penteteuch is for. Then to explicate the relationship that should stand between God and His creation. That's what the history of the Jews as a nation, along with the prophets, Psalms and Proverbs are for. Finally comes Himself, the Son, Jesus, to SHOW us by His in-your-face example what that relationship should be and how we should be living our lives.

Hope this helped.

Well I can tell you have not read the Word of God, first things first,

1. People suffer because lets face it you do, I do, we make wrong choices. Why do we make wrong choices? Some of it is from not knowing all the facts, some of it is from not waiting till we get all the facts, sometimes it is were being just plain stupid doing it my way, the way I want to do and forget about anybody else who suffers. Yet the bottom line is when we become selfish how is it that other people pay for it as well, some else has to suffer for someone elses selfishness, or self gratification or self fulfillment. - Do you get the picture self is the problem, what happened to self. Even when people strive to do good evil is the result - Why? Why is it that we have a concept of good but cannot fully carry it out to its greatest conclusion? Why? Why is it when we have the power to do something about suffering that we don't do anything about? The bottom line is sin - man's rebellious nature - that is self-rule instead God's ruling the heart mind and soul.

2. Now about dinosaurs, you have been deluded by scientists who like you don't believe in the truth, and having cast out the truth have to settle for building up lies that seem plausible but not scientific as they well know, evolution requires more energy than all the energy produced in all the universe since it was began no matter how long you think you have been here. Ask a scientist that question why don't - How much energy does it take for evolution to occur - watch then scratch their bald heads. Back to dinosaurs - sorry to blow your illusions man and dinosaurs cohabited the earth at the same time. They were plant eaters and scavengers not the ferocious meat-eaters portrayed in Jurassic Park. There were some aboard Noah's Ark, but did not last several generations after due to the difference in weather and vegetation requirements.

3. In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth on the sixth day of creation he made Adam fully developed man, he did not have to grow from being a child and then putting Adam to sleep he took a portion of his side and formed Eve, from them they had children they grew married and had children (yes, for a time they had to marry siblings until enough of the population could stipulate that this was no longer the need, plus their biological physiological structure was stronger then than it is now.) This same rule applied after the great flood as well.

You ask some good questions and while each one of these questions has been answered numerous times I will try to give you a brief overview...as I see it and as I believe it from the Bible.

Why do people suffer? We sinned and ruined the way God truly wanted the world to be. Until we get to heaven we will not know what he really intended. God does not make bad things happen, but allows them. He does in fact stop bad things from happeing, but for his reasons. Good people should realize that God loves us and it is through our actions bad people find God and become good.

Why would God wait so long to put us on Earth? What was his hurry? No one knows how God created. The biblical account could be a story to explain to untrained people concepts they could not fathom or it could be factual. It should not be an issue of faith. Is believing in an omnipetent creator harder to believe than evolving from nothing? Nothing is where we were and something is where we are. It seems pointless to say one is better than the other, unless you are trying to get rid of God. Plus, if God created a "faux" old world as stated in the account he could just as easily placed all of the fossils in the ground and they never walked the earth. If this was the case then all data for age comparission is mute and pointless. God was in no rush to get things rolling so in the long run it is pointless gripe about his methods.

The Bible was indeed created by man. In as much as various letters and documents of the old world were compiled and put in one book. It is 66 books not one. They cover centuries of information. Starting with oral history and moving to the written form. We believe that God influenced the writers of each document to write the words of God in man's language. Therefore there are not flawed. I might remind you that many facts in the Bible were once thought wrong and later revealed as truth by man's science.

As for man's humble incestous beginings. Even with evolution we still would have done the same thing. I believe when the gene pool was large enough God set the commandments not to go any further because of the dire effects it would have.

I know these are fundie views, but that is the short of it.

1. God doesn't make bad things happen to good people, but He does 'allow' them to happen . God gave everyone 'free will' to do good or bad . And He does have the power to stop it, but then again He said that our suffering should be taken as grace . None of us are worthy to step into the gates of Heaven . And our suffering or persecution can turn into grace and understanding if you know how . (email me for more on that)

2. That was His choice, His plan. . . . . . .you are not above God and therefore have no right to question His decisions and authority . Remember something, He didn't guarantee that you nor I would 'understand' everything . There are ways to gain understanding however, and it's through prayer .

3. The Bible was written by man, inspired by God . God was clearly watching over those men when they prayed for understanding when writing the Bible . And the Old Testament does have many examples of what was needed for pro-creation at the time . Incest was needed . The New Testament includes God's New Covenant with man, and many things that were previously necessary, were written off with the Covenant . Check it yourself . The Old Testament contains many solid medical and health practices that were simply unknown at the time . The practices of how to bury a body, circumcision, and what foods to eat. . . . . . DESPITE no known medical reasons THEN . But NOW, it's very clear that God knew exactly what He was doing .

And that last one goes back to your original question . God never said that you'd know or understand His 'reasons' , He simply told us to listen and heed . And WHY ? Because He knows best !!

You might not like my answers but here goes:

1- God does have the power to make all suffering stop but he has created this world and has set all kinds of parables and examples for us. For Him, we are just another being out of many that he has created and He makes some of us suffer and others to live comfortable lives. That is just the way the world is designed. I would not say that suffering comes from our hands alone because disease and such are sometimes out of our control; every man's lifetime is fixed and we must die when we do.
2- That's His decision to make; if you think it is stupid (and frankly I do not), that's your decision. He created the earth and then created man; had it been otherwise, you would have the same question mirrored i.e. why did he create man first?
3- The Bible was certainly written by Humans; Adam and Eve had children and yes they did have sex with each other because that is the only biological way human life could have commenced.
Cheers.

Ans
(i) If there is no suffering you will never be able to evaluate the joy. I am a believer in KARMA and reincarnation. Many a times for bad actions in your past life you have to suffer in the present. This is why it is advised to do good deeds in this life so as to wash away sins in the past life. So whatever bad happens keep doing good.
(ii) Do you think that this is the only planet where humans exist?
(iii) Bible is not a creation . It is a word of God. It was not written by imperfect people. Please read about Christ and his messages. The story of Adam , Eve , serpent, Heaven are symbolic. The brief jist is that if you succumb to desires (apple) , you will fall in you spiritual development (kundalini/ serpent) and lead a materialistic life ( mortal / shunned from Heaven)

Ok, I had to print out you questions, Question 1 Why do people suffer, Because of sin that satan caused to mankind, Sometimes we are tried as Gold in Fire, God has to mold us & make us in his perfect will, But God will never gives us more than we can not bare. One day God will stop all bad things & all sin, & that is in the milliennium. Why would God wait so long to put us on this earth. Mankind as we know mankind was here for 6000 yrs. But God had a Prehistoric Kingdom also. In the beginning God created the heaven & earth, God created this planet millions of years before he ever put anything on it. Gen 1:1-2 God created the heaven & the earth & the earth was Void & without form. Now you ask about if the bible is correct, friend get any of your friends & show me where it is not correct, Yes you may be misinterpretate. Now the last question You try to said that God just saiy Poof & there was Adam & Eve. No that is not true Creation itself took 6000 yrs. But yes God did take Adam & us a little dirt to make Adam, But now I want you to see something here, Where was EVE at, at this time Not in the ground, But in Adam, so in a process of time God did take a rib from Adam with a little flesh with it & Eve came from Adam's side the same as the Bride of Christ, When they pireced his side, out came water & Blood, The bride come out from Jesus & Eve came out from Adam. Now the last quetion, Yes Adam & Eve had other childrens, But you need to know Cain was not a son of Adam But a son of the serpent, & yes at the beginning they had to marry family members until the population got so far alone & the same with Noah.---------No friend, YOU JUST LOST ALL CREDIBILITY when you Mock my answer, Because there was prehistoric animals, Therfore you question Is a VOID question, you lost everything any person could have at least trust you a little,

1. Who is the point of reference (i.e. the "Definer") for what is ULTIMATELY good?

2. Who can know the mind of God? We know we don't know all the facts and therefore whe cannot know the why. Why do we need to know why? It certainly is conceivable that there could be a why.

3. People think the Bible is totally correct because they don't start with the same assumption you started with (i.e. "The Bible was created by humans"). For those who believe in the Bible as infallible, God is the arbiter of what is good and bad, not man. Therefore, it is conceivable and consistent in their thinking that populating the earth starting with only two folks is not ungodly, however it may seem to you or other humans. Also, many people believe that the Bible and the evolving of species over time are not incompatible (such as those subscribing to the Day-Age Theory or the Gap Theory).

Interesting questions. Thanks for the opportunity to answer them!

1. People suffer because God wants to make their faith stronger.
1 Peter 4:19 "Wherefore let tham that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."
2. He did put us on the earth. Evoulution is false! It contradicts the Bible. God made man on the sixth day.
Genesis 1:27 and 31 "So God created man in his own image... And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
3. Even though the Bible was written by humans, it was inspired by the holy spirit.
II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by INSPIRATION OF GOD...
Many parts of the Bible aren't clear, you just have to trust God. Put your trust in God, it will pay off.
Revelation 22:7 "Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book."
Trust in God and He will bless you!
Best of Luck! John 8:32 "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."

Knowledge is power which can make and break if misused. You seems to be tittle bit confused.

I am not believing in God just because my father and his fore-father were Muslim. I also faced and fought with my raw imaginations like you! Any how everyone has to settle at a certain point.

Knowledge of God is ingrained in human.

We cannot reach to him with our 5 senses so we human need his further assistance / guidance to reach upto a certain level of knowledge (Wisdom).

As you know, Science neither believes nor rejects the concept of Creator. Nothing is without creator!

There are so many man-made Myths, Theologies, philosophies, Ethical Rules etc., but none could address the need of human societies, hence all were rejected & vanished!

Monotheism presented the concept of One God & one Family through Adam. It created a different sense of relationship between human races - brotherhood!
It created Peace & Harmony to the maximum possible limits under the spiritual guidance of the chosen one - The prophets of God.

Truth prevails itself...Pls. do not test the God rather test yourself!
