I am an atheist and would never say anything to hurt anybody on here I only try to give honest answers that can help.
Remember nearly all the wars in the world are religion based and stop blaming something you do not understand.
Sorry this has bugged me, that you think somebody without faith would be nasty just because they do not believe the same as you.
I have found that Christan's are normally a lot more bigoted and not as open minded to change and others, but I know this is only a few and would not class all Christians like this because I know it would be wrong.
Everybody is different stop pigeon holing.

I'm an athiest and always find it a little offensive when religious people act as though they have higher moral standards than me. You don't need to be religious to be intelligent, polite or well mannered and equally, being religious doesn't mean you're automatically polite either! There are rude, obnoxious, ignorant people on both sides of the debate and I agree that rather than coming on answers to have a sensible debate, as I'd like to, many people just come on to make stupid and offensive comments. But this is nothing to do with belief. Some people are good - some aren't, you can't generalise. Maybe real christians wouldn't write such things but you know what? Real PEOPLE wouldn't either. Some of us have morals, some don't. That's about it. Please don't assume that because I don't believe in your God that I am not polite or well brought up, and I won't assume that because you belive in God you somehow view me as less.

You only have to look at the how the world is at the moment with religion being the number one cause for most wars.
So given the right circumstances christians can be just as nasty as anyone else when provoked. Not many will turn the other cheek I can tell yoiu. Some of the most hateful answers on here have been from so called christians.
Most atheists in the main are unto themselves true.

Why would Atheists be more nasty than Agnostics, or self proclaimed Christians or muslims?
I accept that true Christans, and true Muslims and other true faiths would not be nasty, but the majority of self professed religious people do not adhere to the religion they claim to believe. It is not nesessary for people to believe there is no god, in order for them to be nasty. Many people who believe in God on Yahoo answers are nasty.
If an Atheist says there is no God, that is not being nasty, that is them stating their opinion.
A self proclaimed Christian asked Atheists a question, she gave the best answer to a Christian who agreed with her, that was pure dishonesty, you don't ask Aethiests for their opinion, and then give the best answer to a non Atheist.
I am an agnostic.

Im not an atheist but agnostic and i think your assumption that nasty answers will only come from athiests and all christians are nice is so blinkered it makes me laugh...
Some people just do it to so obviously wind the religious people up and because you bite and in my opinion 'in general' the religious people on here seem to have a humour bypass it just makes them do it more..... and as for all christians dont do anything wrong, well i cant be even bothered to comment as i dont think i could change your blinkered view.

You really need to look through the answers more carefully. It's pretty 50:50 between theists and atheist. Any religious question turns in to a mud slinging contest with both sides battling it out (verbally) just as much as the other.
You're kind of right about the 'real Christian' thing though. More Christians should actually live as Jesus taught and not just preach about it.

Atheist questions are often very irreverent, and emotionally charged, this is true. On the other hand, these questions frequently bring up points which christians cannot answer - which is not nasty in itself but will cause some defensive christians to feel so.

Pretty bigoted question there, Lass. I'm not an atheist and thank God from your attitude I'm not a Christian if that's what you're posing as. Your question was nasty so by your own reckoning you are an atheist. My answer was "testy," but I've already told you I am neither Christian nor atheist.

Considering that 'real christians' have not only written but also acted out the real trash of thrashing real humans of other religious persuasions, including chopping off their heads if they refused to convert -
I think the little 'atheist trash on here' is small competition to what 'real christians' have been able to produce, in literature as well as in action.

sadly, some christians do write trash and tell people they are going to hell. very UN christian!!!
some atheists are nasty, but others are very respectful depite conflicting beliefs,
we shouldnt generalise too much on here....
