For the Planet? No. I think the planet will survive regardless. It may shake off a few species, including ours, in the process, but the planet will survive. I do however believe that if humans would care to remain on the planet, they should make an effort to change NOW. Stop waiting. EVERY person has to make that effort. A handful of "nature freaks", as we have been called so many times, can only make a minute difference, which is actually offset by the millions of machine freaks. Everyone needs to accept that we are NATURAL beings and if we destroy nature, we destroy ourselves.

Yes... people, OLD and YOUNG, take the attitude alot of times... It's only one, instead of thinking If everyone did that littered, overused a resource etc the mountain of waste or the over use of a resource leaving it empty for future generations or even the next person in line. The other bad habit is thinking but what can I do as one person and no one else around me is doing it, why should I? I say lead by example, gather statistics and educate your neighbors about what's happening. Knowledge is power and if we keep ignoring Mother Earth she will shake us off like the ungrateful lil' parasites we've become.

Yes, but that is what happens when you allow old people run the world, they have no worries about the damage they cause for future generations. They only live for the moment.

thats a tricky one, because i think it is getting close to the end for us(the human race) if we dont do something drastic, but if the worlds atmosphere becomes too toxic for us, we will either adapt or become extinct like so many other species. after our extinction or adaptation, it may take 100,000 years or so, but the earth will return to normal. unfortunately for us, we wont be around to witness it.
