I have woken up crying on several occasions. Does anyone else get this or does any good Dr. in the house know why this happens to me? Stressing cause its only 4:45 a.m.

Do you eat any sugar/food before you go to sleep, a lot of the time it makes your dreams intense and vivid.. Re-occuring dreams happen to everyone though, especially nightmares because they stick with you so much.

I have had recurring bad dreams in which there was always someone after me, stabbing me. There was always much blood and gore. It was happening because I was in excruciating pain and that was my brain's way of justifying the pain while I slept. The dreams went on for years while I had this pain and stopped completely when I had surgery to correct the cause of the pain.

Yes, I have recurring nightmares due to PTSD. I was in the was in the early 90's and I saw a lot of death and lost a lot of friends. I still have nightmares about it. I am going to a sleep clinic and a counselor for my PTSD and hopefully talking it out and working through it will help them to ease up and allow me to get a better nights sleep sometimes. I hope you will find help, too.
