Islam says all are born without “original sin”. Why do other faiths say they are born evil ?

If you read some of the main literature (for example the new testament for a Christian) of another religion, they usually explain why we are born with sin. For Christians, we were born with sin because Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the tree of life. But Christians also believe that Jesus Christ took all the sins of men that had been committed and all that would be committed and died for them, took them down to hell with him (he was sent to hell as punishment for the sins, but his spirit rose above as he was resurrected (that's why we celebrate easter)), and now we can't be punished for our sins as long as we take Jesus Christ to be our savior and ask for forgiveness of those sins. As a Christian I can only answer for them. And I'm only answering for the main baptist beliefs, other parts of Christianity believe different things. Just like other parts of Islam believe different things. Comparing one religion to another is never an easy task, and is something people have spent their entire lives doing. Most religions forbid their followers to practice more than one religion, so most people simply don't bother asking the type of question you're asking.

Religions which subscribe to Rebirth Theory assert that if U commit sins, in the next birth U will carry forward that handicap from beginning itself.
This is to deter those sinners who hope to escape punishment throught lifetime.
In Islam U start with a clean slate, & are bound to dirty it later in this birth . Nothing adverse will survive once U R dead. Most convenient !

I don't believe the Bible says we are born evil. It does imply we are born savages. Do you judge a natural predator evil? Lions are innocent, and should not be judged by a moral standard. They should be avoided though.

Don't judge God, or the devil by a moral standard either. They are, who they are. The devil should be avoided at all costs. Only those people who have judged, and feel judged can really be considered evil, and they will be judged by God.

Sin is not good, but it is not the same thing as evil.

I'm sorry but you are framing your question as if other religions designed their beliefs by keeping Islam as the standard when that is not the case.
They have their own beliefs and Islam has its own, so asking WHY a particular Christian/Jewish belief does not comply with Islamic standards is an erroneous question.

The Catholic church teaches that we inherit a sinful nature from our parents, who inherited it from their parents and so on all the way back to the beginning of humanity. It is sort of like getting blond hair and brown eyes, except this is a spiritual condition rather than physical. Evidence for original sin is that...go figure...we all commit sin. This is why ALL of us need to turn to Christ for forgiveness. There has only been one exception to this rule, and that was Christ's mother Mary. She was conceived without sin.

this is because they have to support their beliefs... if they beliece in the story of the creation according to the bible and believes about adam and eve commiting the first sin,then they must support this belief by saying that we are born with original sin SINCE our bible told us so. that's the kind of mentallity religions have. they create their own dogma and own set of rules to backup something they believe in.
