An expiry date simply means that a medication is less than 80% affective- it has lost 20% of its "medicine".
It does not cause harm to your body (unless it was out of date aspiring adn codeine, but thats a different kettle of fish).

Here's an interesting tale. The Navy found $200 million dollars worth of expired medication in a facility. They were wondering whether to just get rid of it all. But first, they initiated an expensive research project for $1.9 million to see if the meds were still good. They were overwhelmingly good, even a few years after the expiration date. They saved a lot of money. I wouldn't worry much about it.

No, it just won't work as well. The medicines begin to break down over time.

If the expiration date was within the last few months, there probably won't be any noticeable difference.

Nothing much different. The expired medicine might be slightly less effective than new stuff, but you probably won't notice the difference.

Midol mostly contains acetaminophen (aspirin), and I doubt you would have any severe side effects from any that were expired. However, I would definitely throw them out because they probally have lost their ability to relieve pain.

Call a 24 hour pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist and tell them how much you took, how long ago and ask if there could be any harm.
