A mentally deficient person with intelligence in the lowest measurable range, being unable to guard against common dangers and incapable of learning connected speech; a foolish or stupid person = Jerry Falwell.
Falwell, an assiduous homophobe, certified non-religious whacko, ubiquitous bigot, fanatical liar, morbidly obese, authoritarian, blathering idiot, amoral, hedonistic, manipulative, prejudiced, and egotistical, was, by definition, an idiot.
Falwell, was one of the leading terrorists trying to undermine the secular nature of the U. S. legal system by conspiring with the Bush administration, and putting no less than 150 of his highly unqualified ‘law school’ graduates (religious zealots) into key positions in the U. S. government.
Earth is much better off now that he has expired, let's just concentrate on this.

I came of age during the initial popularity of Falwell's hate-filled organization. His brand of stultifying, putrid rhetoric caused me personal harm by driving me deep into the closet for a decade enhanced with substance abuse in an attempt to assuage my horrifically low sense of self-worth.

I was having a fairly lousy day until I got to the hotel late Tues nite and saw on CNN of his demise. The news certainly turned my day around. Even tho I'm an atheist, I can hope that he's roasting on a spit in a special corner of hell
for a**holes like him who have caused such heartache and promoted such hatred while given their only known life here on Earth. His chance to do good, and he blew it. Enjoy it, Mr. Fartwell, you've certainly earned it....

To wish something that negative on others who disagree with you no matter how painful and hurtful that position may be makes you the same as those individuals who would wish you harm. Name-calling and wishful negative thinking in retribution never serves a positive purpose in our hearts or in the way we think or treat others for who they truly are. It does no good to close doors or shut windows, no matter how wrong we perceive them to be or was in their lives in relation to our own. To turn the other cheek is the most powerful weapon we have, and also the power of truth and knowledge of who we truly are as a people, as a community, and as a nation, and as a world. It has a ripple affect whether negative or positive. Let him go, and may you find peace and satisfaction by other ways that are much more positive. I'm sorry. I may get thumbs down, but I try not to let negativity or hatreds get me down. Hatred does nothing but harden hearts and attitudes on all sides.

Yes, it's too bad there is not a hell. He should get pay-back and suffer for all eternity -- for all of the hatred and bigotry that he incited and inflicted on other people who did NOT deserve it.

If there is a God...I'm certain that he is suffering now.
His was a life of self indulgence and breeding hatred. His fate now lies in his past actions...Karma will prevail.

Be nice, even if he wasn't. Being nasty only reaps the hate he sowed.
