"should"? I think some do and some do not. I don't think there is a should.

Family is the best thing happened to your life...Its the source of true happiness so if you want a true happiness take good care of your family and love it truly...
Family is the reason why you were born, its the reason why you are living in earth and most of all its the reason why God created you---to have a family (multiply and norture)

Primarily, we love our families because they are the people who take care of us while we're too young to live on our own, they teach us what we need to know to survive on our own when we reach adulthood... families that stick together and watch out for each other are good.
On the other hand; love and respect are things we have to earn. We can't expect to love our families if they are abusive to us. Nor can we expect them to love us if we abuse them.
There is no reason to continue to love a family where the love is not reciprocated. One cannot love in an emotional vacuum; where others are selfishly draining your reserves without a care of what it's doing to you. And it is impossible to love when you don't feel it's deserved.

1. they brought us out to this world
even if they don't raise us, but thank them for give us chance to live.
2. financial support, shelter, protection
if we can calculate all the money that has been spent for us, we don't have the whole life to repay
3. Always there for support and love
even if we say we have good friends/gf/bf, but when they left, we turn back to our family
4. first teacher; how to talk, walk etc
and all the things that we can't ever imagine..
5. give us name; from born until death.
they gave us good name when we born. Even if we change it, when we died, we will need the family name to registered.
and i don't find any reason why shouldn't

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. And now these three remain:
faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

It gives us a sense of belonging. Everyone needs to be loved to feel a purpose for living. You may never find love outside of your family but your family will always be around for you.

Blood is thicker than water.
When I said this I mean direct family, siblings and parents.
They are the one who will not harm you. I guess.
