What I usually do because I work rotating shifts is either I clean the house, involve my self in a project that will take hours, drink lots of coffee, and I may watch a bunch of movies. The thing about movies though is if I sit too still to long about the third movie I may find myself concked out on the couch if I'm not careful. So, if I start getting tired while watching a movie, I will try to involve myself in something else. It helps if you have someone to stay up with you to. But I don't always have that, so, I just usually do one of those things.

Well, i am not sure when the last time you picked up a good book was and started reading, BUT, when i was in this same "tizzy" like state i resorted back to it.
Author: Clive Cussler.
Start with his older books about the adventures of Dirk Pitt. Oh that man is just dreamy to say the least but besides all that if you ever liked James Bond type movies... Action, Adventure, a dash of romance, some sci fi, fact mixed with fiction, comedy, mystery, uhh am i leaving something out..oh yes even some horror. ..at any rate, if your having to pick up reading again i would start with him Cussler, and just slowly start delving into books again.
Even if you aren't great at reading, it really doesn't matter. Case in point. My hub, when i threw a book at him, when he was up all night and in this state like you are in, at first the book sat there and got dusty, for weeks on end. Then he finally got desperate and picked it up... he saw all the pages and freaked. Mind you he isn't very good with some of the bigger words and he doesn't spell well. I told him this is how you learn to spell an what you don't know you keep a dictionary close or websters on line or figure out how it is related in a sentence or just don't bother. Well, all i know is now, he is an addict and buying the man's books around the clock.
This Author got him to read again, which he never did, and got me to read again which i used to and got me to get shut eye at night.
If not this Author find an Author that suits your fancy.
YOu have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.
Between books and computer... well, like they say...knowledge is power.

If you don't have anything to do, why do you NEED to stay up all night? Anyway, if you can't think of anything, this is a pretty good pastime. http://www.thefunniest.info/ might keep you occupied for an hour or two before you get bored too. Good night!

Watch movies, call hotlines, chat online, call people who you know that have to be up late or who get up really early. Clean out your closets and dresser drawers, clean the house, cook a special dish or meal you've wanted to try cooking, complete school or work assignments early, do the little sewing tasks, shoe polishing tasks, and tasks to fix up your wardrobe.
