Israeli newspapers have recently been reporting that residents from Sderot are trying to evacuate from the town and that the rockets may soon be able to strike strategic facilities in Ashqelon, which is a much bigger city with a lot of important industrial facilities in it. What do you think should be done to stop these attacks? Is re-invading Gaza necessarily the smartest option? I am not sure if it would be a worthwhile venture. I think Israel will have to take a very heavy-handed approach that is without precedent in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Marissa, clearly you don't know much about anything on this issue. Certainly, all you need to do is to take one look at how the Palestinians are treating each other....look at how they settle disputes among themselves: through death and violence. If they can't even resolve disputes peacefully among themselves, then how can you ever expect for peace to be achieved between the Palestinians and the Israelis?

This is a tough question. I wish I had an answer. Doing nothing is not an option. As history has proven, matters would only get worse. However, it appears that each time Israel responds, people claim that Israel overreacted. What do you do with two cultures who are neighbors and have been programed for several generations to kill each other?

Eventually, these skirmishes are going to result in all out war. It is only a matter of time. When that happens, you will have your answer.

I don't think that they really have the power to stop anything. Any time someone tries, they disappear. After cast lead, there were so many interviews with families that had hamas people run into their homes for cover. The homeowner has no choice but to sit in his/her own house and let the terrorists do whatever they want. Then the house gets bombed by Israel because it is harboring killers. it's a catch 22 for the few really innocent palestinians.

The "Palestinians" are clearly trying to bait Israel into another war. At this time of great instability, patience is needed. I am not implying that the "Palestinians" even deserve patience; clearly, they deserve to be punished. However, there is much more brewing in the Middle East than the unlawful and immoral firing of Qassam rockets at innocent Jews.

I believe that God is setting the stage for the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran, Egypt, Syria, and others. It seems clear from the wording of the prophecy that Russia will order the invasion suddenly; in all likelihood, this will be in response to reports that an Israeli/American/British strike against Russia's interests in Iran -- which are financially sizable -- is about to take place.

The bottom line is that this situation, as maddening as it is, reflects God's will. But remember, the prophecy promises that God will protect Israel through this invasion and that He will use it to glorify Himself before the entire world. Since the prophecy states He will kill all of the invaders, radical Islam will be disabled as a result.

In the meantime, Israel should protect herself and her people, while also trusting God.

Israel should cut off supplies to Palestine. Israel should reclaim the Gaza, and wipe out the Hamas

It does seem that the only way to stop the rockets involves some unsavory tactics. Personally, I would stop the restraint and destroy one Hamas building/camp, military or therwise, for each rocket fired. My reasoning being that Hamas is currently in civil war with Fatah, and while attacking Israel makes you look good, having your infrastructure destroyed is too weakening to overcome.

aww poor Israelis maybe if it is bothering them during tea time THEY SHOULD GET THE FU*CK OUT OF OUR LAND !!!! I mean if you ever stepped foot in our land (which they would let you in a second) you would know if we ever tried anything we would get so many rockets blown on us it would begin to bother the Israelis. And go head and cover the truth like you did with all the other answers!! and Marissa I am glad you see it our way but the blacks never got the sh*t bombed out of them and the african americans could roam the streets. It was a group against them, with us it is of the strongest countries in the world against us

IMHO, they should:

1. admit leaving gaza was a mistake and take it back, letting as many settlers as possible live there; and,

2. completely forget about giving up the "west bank"

I never thought this appeasement would work, and unfortunately I've been proven to be right.

In my opinion Israel should make an announcement that it will

cut water and electricity to Gaza for one hour for every Qassam-- and then actually do it.

I think a ground invation will be a big, big, big mistake. Another Lebanon if you will.

And that air strikes have been proven to be unefective.

--Sometimes instead of fighting fire with fire, you need to fight fire with water--

And if the people of Gaza what their water and power they will make sure to stop the Qassams other wise they will suffer like the people of Sderot.

but that is my take on it.

Its called the balance of terror. A massage that every Israeli have received in the last 5 years. Palestinians are determined to get their freedom with or without the blessing of the Israelis. Palestinian Freedom is the only answer to your question.

I would do this - I would declare it to the Palestinian authorities that :
For every rocket Israel will confiscate 30 square miles of Gaza. (Confiscate for good, for ever)
If people are killed on our side from those rockets, than we hunt 50, or even 100 terrorists for every person we lose.

The only way to be safe is to get rid of your enemy, and your enemy is 90% of "palestinians". If you don't get rid of them, they WILL get rid of you.

F*ck the world's opinion, and act in YOUR PEOPLE's best interest, and safety.
