because everybody wants a quick fix
they want to lose 10-60lbs in days and weeks like they gained all that weight in days and weeks
they dont understant that you cant go "on and off" a diet - a diet is a way of life not a sprint with loads of candy and junk food at the finish line

Why would anyone want to go through the weight loss struggle over a long period of time? It's just like anything else, you want Most output, for Least Input. Also, it's a motivational factor to lose weight quick. If a person was guaranteed to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, there is a higher chance of them sticking to their diet or exercise plan!

Because they have important affairs to attend to, like wedding, graduation, prom, etc., Sometimes they don't look good in their attire. Hence, the need to lose weight fast.

People want instant results without having to put work or effort into it, or make permanent changes to their lifestyle. Pretty much laziness and apathy. Sometimes it takes years of frustration and failure for people to realize what it really takes.

think ahead to how youll eat and exercise on the weekends its easy to get too relaxed on saturdays and sundays but healthy living is a 7 day a week endeavor
