Don't make beds.
Dishwasher is run every other day, laundry done every other day (alternating with dishes). Toys get picked up as soon as no one is playing with them anymore. Dusting done daily. Toilet cleaned twice a week. Floors done twice a week. All in all, my house is pretty clean.

clean house? Is there a such thing? I have 2 kids under 5, go figure. There attention span is not very long so they move form one toy to another. I keep things picked up, but buy the time one mess is cleaned another one is in the process of being made. Yeah the laundry gets done every Saturday, and the tub get scrubbed because the bubble baths leave a ring around the tub. The toilet gets cleaned because my son does not have the aim down to perfection (neither does my husband) yet. Dishes yeah every day, when the kids are sleeping because I have little helpers that love to help too much. Floors, back yard, front yard, vacuum, its all in a days work. I try not to stress, and if I am out of mom's go go juice, I just close there bedroom door and say well tomorrow's another day. My house is not messy it just lived in.

Clean? That depends on what you consider "clean". With two teen boys and a preteen girl, we aren't exactly the tidiest family. Mostly we're cluttered. Backpacks on the floor by the door, shoes near the couch, the morning's paper (and often papers from a couple of days ago) on the couch or the coffee table. Maybe a few cups too.

I do make sure we do a thorough clean once a week, though. All the clutter is made to be gone. A couple of times a year we oil the wood furniture. Maybe we don't deep-clean, but I have an aversion to stepping on or kicking things in the dark.

The bedrooms, however, are disaster areas. Oddly enough the cleanest of them belongs to the teenage boys.

Deep cleaning is reserved for when we're expecting visitors or planning a party. As long as I keep up with the basics (uncluttered and swept) the deep cleaning is relatively easy, even if I only do it once or twice a year.

Right now: My bed is unmade, I have a load of clothes in the dryer looking at me to be folded, there is a few dishes in the sink (although not a load full), there is school papers scattered across the kitchen table from where the kids left for school this morning and we waited until then to go through them. Other than those things everything is perfectly fine around here. I have an injured knee and I'm on crutches so I cannot do a whole lot around here and since I'm the only one that does do anything around here, it's not getting done. Typically, all of those things you named are done on a daily (sometimes 2x/day) basis. Toys stay picked up or they go in the trash... simple as that! Now if I could just train my slobby husband to do the same.

I keep a clean house, and trust me it is tricky doing so with 3 boys, ages 5, 3 and 1 month. I have always had a pet peeve for clutter, or anything messy, thanks to my own Mother, I am very meticulous. I make the beds twice daily, my own once, kids twice, if they decide to nap in there, but for the most part my 3 yr old just drops where he is and falls asleep lol!!! Anyhow, dishes are done as we use them, It is much easier to wash a few when they are dirtied rather than waiting for them to pile up and doing them in the evening, and also much more sanitary, as bacteria starts to form on dirty dishes within 2 hours of letting them sit. Toys are picked up constantly, as they are constantly being brought out from toy boxes. As I stated above, mess and clutter is a no-no for me. Laundry is done daily, my house is all hardwood floors, so sweeping gets done daily and mopping every 2 - 3 days. Bathroom atleast 3 times a week, and dusting and polishing twice a week.

Pretty clean. Not the cleanest probably. It's what I stay home for, care for the kids and keep things in order. Beds are made every morning when we wake up. Dishes are washed after every meal as well as bottles and sippy cups. Toys are to be put away after you use them and before you take out a new one. For the baby the toys can stay out until nap time or until we go somewhere. Clothes are done after the kids go to bed and are washed and folded before I go to bed. Bedding is wahed once a week unless there's an accident and I spend every Saturday doing those. Sunday is for windows, dusting, etc. I vacuum at least once a day.

My house is clean, meaning trash is thrown out and it's not dirty. As far as tidy.. no, not in the least. Single mom of 2, Hurricane Hailey and Tornado Tater...haha... and 2 dogs there's always something to pick up and put away.

I wash dishes daily. Never worry about making the bed.. it's just gonna get messed up when they jump on it (dogs are NOT allowed on beds or furniture!) but bedding is washed a minimum of once a week (more if needed), as far as laundry... that gets done when needed, usually at least one afternoon/evening a week is devoted to washing/folding all the laundry. Floors are vaccumed/swept at least every other night, dog hair is not cool. When the vaccuming is done, toys are picked up.

Definately not a spotless house, but it is clean. We live IN the house on FOR the house. I have better things to do, taking the kids to the park for example, than spending all my non-working hours cleaning.

Nothing is dirty, but it is often disorganized. I have a 16 month old so there are often toys on the floor. I despise folding laundry so it often sits in the basket for a day or two. I like to sew so there is often material on my kitchen table since I don't have a separate place to do it, no I don't eat off of it or anything.
However, the dishes get done regularly, the bathroom gets cleaned often, the laundry gets done frequently (it has to, I use cloth diapers!), and the kitchen floor gets scrubbed on my hands and knees on a weekly basis, to give you an idea.

However, I'm a single mom and I work full-time so I'm not home all day to clean and whatnot.

All the time. I have a 13 year old son that is pretty clean, a 6 year old daughter with ADD and a 2 year old that is discovering the world. So My 13 year old and My husband arealways pitching in to help clean my house. And it never seems clean. 3 loads of laundry a day every dishes and alot of trash accumulates everyday.

We have a two year old boy and a 3 month old girl. We pick up every night after dinner or baths. We do laundry as needed. Dishes are done right away after dinner. Deep cleaning is done pretty much every weekend. Bathroom is done about every other day, kitchen is wiped down with sanitizer when dishes are done.
