There are many, many things that tain't necessarily so. Take a really good look at the Noah stories. They don't all fit together quite seamlessly. What place does Noah's vineyard have with the ark stories? How many animals got on board? Was it only two of each kind or were there more of those considered kosher? What was little Kenny doing in his grandpa's bed, and why did Ham catch the blame? (You'd think that dirty old man Noah was really the one responsible drunk or not). What about that neat creation story call the Tower of Babel? The David stories have similar problems. We have the stories of David killing Goliath and David playing for King Saul cheek by jowel in the narrative, yet King Saul doesn't seem to know and recognize David from one to the other (Something ain't necessarily so), perhaps our favorite jack and the beanstalk story really didn't happen quite that way and Elhanan was really the one who killed Goliath. Many of the "Psalms of David" have detailed instructions and descriptions of Temple services, yet the Temple was not built until Solomon took over after David's death. How can we say these are by David? The Temple Herod the Great spent over 48 years building in the New Testament was by the Biblical account no less than the fourth such edifice on that site, how come everybody calls it "The Second Temple"? What happened to those fo Hezekiah, Ahab, Joash and Zerubbabel? The early accounts in the former prophets have only one book of Moses, how is it that after Ezra we have five? The Book of Daniel is found among the writings in the Hebrew Bible, how does it appear as one of the Four Major Prophets in the Christian Bible? Revelation was written long before the Gospel of John, and all the epistles before any of the Gospels, how doe we justify the ordering of the books in our Bible? What makes Revelation last? What does that do to the so-called curse at the end of Revelation?
It seems to me that the greater number of things that people either violently espouse or violently oppose are interpretations largely argued from the SILENCE of Scripture. Could we not possibly do with far less violence in our discourse?

Eaglefly !
Jasyasri and Fr.AL have read the same Theological, Classical Civilisations books as me. Small correction: Constantine was an Emperor - some say he boiled his Wife alive, not very Xian, but neither was the Burning of the Alexandria Library. Methinks there were indications of another Reality there - another Antiquity of the Ancient World. It was Xianity which plunged the Western World into the Dark Ages.
Women today don't even know they can give Birth because of the taboos inherited from those dark Days! Well, that's how it is. The latest theory is that Women's pelvis has now become too narrow!
How do they know that ? The answer is upsetting for both u+me: they experimented on Cats & fed them Junk food ONLY. So the Cats 'developed' problems in reproducing... I was AMAZED and thought:
"AIN"T NECESSARILY SO !
Did it not occur to you that the Cats were simply very intelligent ?"

It aint necessarily for you to deny JESUS.If you have already accepted him please forgive me.If you havent call upon him.
John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

Eternal Hell. No one goes to hell eternally. That is a man made conception to control the citizens. Jesus originally taught karma, reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally and vegetarianism. King Constantine had all of that taken from the original bible. One copy of the New Testament was kept hidden by the original followers of Jesus (the Essenes) and it is called the Gospel of the Nazirenes(The original New Testament) for info google gospelofthenazirenes.com Very enlivening. (Paul was a false prophet) he never even met Jesus)
