Por que means "why"
Example: Por que estas aqui? (Why are you here?)

porque means "because"
Example: Porque quise venir. (Because I wanted to come.)

If it is

two words + accent -por qué = why?

porque (one word) without accent = because

porque = because
por que = in order to (so)
el porqué = the reason, the why

it means why in spanish and has an accent on the "e" if it is "porque" then the meaning is different, it would mean "because".
