My car was parked in the street, and a person tried to reverse park into the side of my car. The other person automatically claimed responsibilty, but was driving a hire car at the time, with which she has insurance. Im not sure what i am suppose to do next. do I just take my car into the shop?

if it was her fault her insurance should cover it i would contact her insurance as well as your own if you cannot get through to her insurance your insurance should be able to help you in what to do next but dont pay anything out of pocket unless you know for sure that you will be reimbursed

Contact your own insurance and ask them what you should do. In general if you only have liability you may have to deal with the other guy's insurance directly. They'll often designate a body shop and you pretty much drive there and leave it for a few days. If you choose your own it'll be more hassle.
