okay, my brother is like obsessed with games/other things. he used to play games, go search things on wiki, read anime, etc. secretly from my dad. me and my sister already knew about it but my brother told us not to tattle or else he'll get grounded. my dad found out. he asked us if we knew about it and we said yes. my brother got forbiddened to play games/do any other computer things besides homework until my dad said so. later i caught him reading an manga on the computer. i told him i'll let him off the hook just this once. then i saw him reasearching game things on wiki. i let him off again. i saw him watching something on youtube i let him off. and then today i caught him playing a game (roms) so i decided to tattle. my brother said not to tell because he'll get busted. okay... so i need ur help... should i tattle? if my dad eventually finds out i WILL get in trouble also. should i tell now? am i being to nosy? plzz help me... =[

You know, you NEED to tell your parents NOW about what your brother is doing ... mainly because he is NOT learning a good lesson ... (which is that there are CONSEQUENCES for bad choices) ...

INSTEAD ... like someone who helps an Addict ... you are ENABLING him to continue being 'bad' -- and that is just plain wrong.

TELL your parent right now .. and let them know what you know. That you treat the parent with RESPECT and that includes the House Rules will be appreciated.

This way, your parents can take the steps to put Passwords in place, so the ONLY time that your brother can use the computer in the home is when they are watching and on sites that they approve of. ALL security software programs do this -- and they can set the age setting for your brother too -- I'd personally recommend an age of like 6 so that he can't access those site that they don't want him on. (This will also restrict his on-line game playing as well -- because with the passwords and age setting ... he won't be able to draw up those programs as well). This is what schools do with their computers (by the way).
