If the Holy Grail one was rated pg then that would do it for these parents.

I was asking in reference to my grandchild, her parents would accept a pg rating. Sorry about not being clearer, I have never seen any of these movies at all.

Which Monty Python movie?
Monty Python's Meaning of Life?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
Monty Python's Life of Brian?
All of them contain nudity, sexual humor, and sacreligious sketches. Holy Grail contains an incredibly hilarious gory dismemberment. Life of Brian a mass crucifixion--oh, and an intergalactic space battle. Meaning of Life contains an explosive evisceration.

As you've seen from other answers, Monty Python referred to a group of english Comedians including John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Rowan Atkinson etc. They had the Flying Circus series, and developed features including The Holy Grail, [I think] Jabberwocky, Life of Brian, Not the 9 o'Clock News etc.
Basically, if you think English comedy these actors/writers played a huge role and individuals also used their talents in eg. the Goodies, Fawlty Towers, Nuns on the Run and so the list goes on. The shows are as funny as Billy Connelly but the language is tamer.
Naturally there are satires on sex, religion, politics, and many other 'politically incorrect' topics. But, you need to realise the era was the 70's and entering the 80's. A lot will go over the 14 yo's head and, what doesn't, he/shehas probably heard worse on daytime TV. Monty Python looked at controversial topics in a different and humerous light and is supposed to be digested in the way it was intended. If you find it silly that was the intention but, the intention was not to offend.
I led a sheltered life and at 14 loved Monty Python skits but some went over my head it was beyond my years. There is a lot of double meaning in English humour and therefore different age groups interpret the one liners differently. That is why English humour is so clever. Look at eg. Shrek and the Princes Bride - definitely intended for children but interspersed with tongue in cheek inuendo that a child won't get - but is there for the amusement of the adult watching with the child.
It is British humour so if you are in the US or Canada ie not Australia or NZ some aspects may not be understood.... simply because terms have different meanings, not that the accent is a problem.

Monty Python was actually a comedy series in Britain. They made more than one movie. The two I've seen are The Life of Brian (very anti-religious) and The Holy Grail (very silly). Neither are appropriate for 14 year olds.

Yes I've been watching them since I was 12. Monty Python is a brittish comedy group, they've made quite a few movies and had a tv show back in the early 70's. :)
One of their most popular movies is "Search for the Holy Grail" it's a parody of King Author and his knights searching for the holy grail. It's brittish humor so some people don't understand it, but I think it is hilarious. It has some sex jokes that younger folk may not understand but it's very tame considering their movies came out in the 70's, and suitable for all ages. :)

I watched the Holy Grail when I was a young teen and I was fascinated yet kind of scared of the movie - it is rather eerie. As for the sex parts I don't really remember, but I will tell you that after watching Grease as an adult, I don't think it could be any worse than that. I never realized all the sexual stuff in either movie as a kid but kids THESE days know a lot more than I did back then!

HOLY GRAIL is my absolute favorite of Python. Keep in mind that a PG in the 70's is almost a G now.

He will probably love 'The Holy Grail'...
MP humor ranges from clever political/social satire to crude potty jokes with farting and bodily fliuds.
....he will see them anyway but it might be awkward to get a Monty Python movie for 'family night'
