I don't believe in Satan. But I think that angry thoughts, intentional or not, cause people to take assaulting actions, big or small. Karma is not a theist issue, it is a human issue.

We have free will given to us by god to do with what we want. If we hurt other people or cause other people to be hurt by our actions we are to blame. Satan just takes the credit or becomes the scrape goat to be blamed cause why blame god when he gave us the free will in the first place. So yead we create the opportunities to assault people in our lives.

Not praying as we should against principalities and powers

Not repenting (turning away from) sins after we ask forgiveness

Not keeping the household focused on God

Etc...

1. The homosexual whose church won't let him get married,
2. The rape victim whose church won't let her have an abortion,
3. The poor man whose church tithes him into penury?
