In the Hebrew, God's name means "the ever existant One."
Since eternity does not have time constraints, I suspect neither does God.
He just "is."
Think outside the box.

He is the Alpha and Omega (which means the beginning and the end) He was and is and always will be the past and the future. i look for him as he said to do "seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened unto you" He said"Anyone who asks receives" does that sound like a KING of kings? YEAH I THINK SO!!! Look at 1Corinthians 13 the whole bunch of verses and know that he is GOD. He loves even the simple minded,(joke joke) sorry i hope that wasn't to harsh He said to be humble and as a child so your in a good spot Just ask Him to help you wonder as you do,no one can fully understand Him come on !!! He is The One and ONLY ALL MIGHTY GOD!!! and i would have some reverence toward him because He made you in HIS IMAGE isn't He beautiful!!!!!! I think i should go rest now this is the first time i sat and looked @ these Questions (this is Patrick's WIFE)and I am really saddened to see some of these questions ( pure sarcasm) But yours was an EXCELLENT question!!!! If we cant even fa them how wonderful heaven is(AS HE SAID) (ALSO, HIS CREATION ) than how much more wonderful is the creator than what and whom he has made. Good night Jesus is Lord!!!

Revelation 1:8 states:
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty."
Alpha is the fist letter of the Greek alphabet. Omega is the last letter.
God is revealing the truth that He (or She) is eternal. He has been here from before the beginning (the alpha) and will be here after the end (the omega).
God is also with us for every step along the way.
With love in Christ.

You will never know the answer to this question but to sum it all up in an opinion, God is God so God didn't have to be created by anything.
Our idea of creation and how things are made are just meerly human ideas. Our minds can only stretch so far.
Our ideas can only stretch so far. We are limited in knowledge and the ability to accept certain knowledge because we have not been endowed with the ability to accept or know this kind of knowledge.
But then again I am only human and this is only my opinion, so if I were you I would not put great emphasis on it.

Does it matter? Why do you need to know? Why is it so important to find out where God came from. Did it ever occur to you that you may not want to know? Did it ever occur to you that God may have a reason for not giving out that information? When God is ready, he may let you in on that little secret, but until then, stop pondering about things which you have no need in knowing.
God has always been. God is Alpha and Omega, (The Beginning and The End.)

Our minds are just not wired to understand self existing principels. Just like, say a dog's mind is not wired to do science. I do feel that since we are His children, we must be involved in this self existing process. Also, if one God can self exist, then there is a possibility of an infinite self existing Gods. Someone once said, we are made in the image of our particular God. I have a feeling we will understand this eternal process in the future and that this current not knowing of this process is part of the process for a certain individual development. Think of your child just walking, then running, saying small words then large sentences, etc. This seems to be a process of going from the small to something greater. I also don't think sin and eternal suffering or a blissful heaven is part of this eternal process.

In the begining the letter "H" was so holy that its pronunciation was prohibited. It was considered sinful abomination.
Abraham devised the name Yahweh saying that Yahweh was the name of Yahweh-God-Jehovah.
So Abraham invented Yahweh-God-Jehovah- from nothingness. (out of thin air)
From the original belief that the letter "H" was holy.
Throughout the bible we see names with the unpronounced letter "H" - such as Jehovah, Issaiah, Jeremiah, Judah and Noah - wherever the Jewish doctrine is written, you will find the use of the letter "H" to this very day. The existance of God is a myth !

Theists will say "God always was," and seem to be completely ignorant of the fact that them scoffing at the much-more-likely (even if it's much more likely in the way that '3% is much more likely than 0.08%) ''condition' that "the universe always" constitutes the fallacy of special pleading; in other words, a double standard.
EDIT: I totally CALLED the post below me, hah. See what I mean?
