We need protection from terrorists that is common sense.

I dont see 9-11 and Iraq ''linked'' in the question. Be that as it may, there were al-qauida terriost training camps in northern Iraq, there was a meeting between a high ranking member of al-qauida and Saddams regime in Iraq before 9-11, Zarcowardlly was treated in Iraq for wounds recieved in Afganistan, Zarcowardlly was killed IN IRAQ, al-qaudia is claiming a majority of credit for any carnage IN IRAQ. Let us not forget that there were 13 UN resolutions to force Iraq to comply with the original cease -fire in 91, these resolutions authorized the use of force if nessecary for compliance. Mr.Bush also went to Congress to get approval for use of force for compliance again even though he did not need to since the original mandate of this from 91 was still valid. In closing ,name calling is nothing more than I would expect from people with such hate toward the President or their country that they blind themselves from any real objectivity.

We were attacked because after 10 years of attacks on the American soil, with no response, the terrorists figured they could get away with it again. But Bush responded and the terrorists were not prepared for that. Bush warned us that this would be a long war... not something simple, but America doesn't have the patience for it, and the media is playing off of that. We are not at war with Iraq. We never have been at war with Iraq. And this is not a war over oil. We went into Iraq because Sadam harbored terrorists and approved of September 11th. We took him out, and now we're going after the terrorists. And yes, there were weapons of mass destruction people. I know people who have seen them.

And it's funny how the American people believe we're losing this war, while the military believes we're winning. And who's over there again??? Who has all of the military intelligence? The American people need to get a clue. What they see on the news is the worst of it. They don't show the good being done or how much better things are getting over there. The terrorists had lost hope of beating us, but now that the government wants to cut funding, the terrorists think they could win.

And what about all the troops dying? They knew when they enlisted they were going over there. They were told it from the beginning. More people die a month in Washington DC then they do in Iraq, but I don't see the American people calling for us to pull out of Washington.

The terrorists attacked us again and again while Clinton was in office. They knew they could get away with it. We should applaud Bush for going after them. If he hadn't how many more American people would be dead??? More than the troops who have died overseas. If they had the nerve to pull off September 11th, then couldn't they do something much worse the next time??? But they haven't because we responded.

And before anyone says anything to me about not knowing what it's like to have someone over there ... my closest family is over there right now: my husband. The man I love with all of my heart. He does convoys and runs security. My life is on hold right now waiting for him to come home. And you DON"T know what it's like unless you've been in my situation. You have no idea how long 3 months (the time he's been gone) can be. Or what it's like to go to bed every night and wonder if you'll ever see him again. Or what you will do if he never returns. But the flag comes first, before my marriage.

So wake up America! Look at the facts, not the bull **** the media is feeding you. This was is NOT against Iraq, and it's NOT over oil. And stop blaming Bush. Think about September 11th, and how you felt when you watched the towers crumble to the ground. You wanted to kill the bastards who did it yourselves. And now that we are, and this war has lasted longer than a season of American Idol, we want to run with our tails between our legs. And the enemy will follow us home. There will be more attacks. More innocent people will die. And the troops that have been killed, will have lost their lives for no reason. Our troops want to finish their jobs. We need to shut up, and let them.

Oh, and mjzbay ... our economy is better and the stock markets are higher than they were when Clinton was in office. Not to mention more people have jobs. And all those liberals you say made predictions about the war??? They were gung ho for it at one point too!

Well your wrong about in never happening to other Presidents. Your New Deal President, F.D.R. knew about Pearl harbor, as did several people, including the Radar guys, they knew they were coming for weeks, and the commanders of pearl, were ordered not to mount patrols or plan out any defense, They KNEW. And over 3000 were killed. Why, So that the President would have the people's blessing to Declared War. And F.D.R. was a Democrat I Don't blame Bush, But I think he knew something was going to happen, the only question was when and where. And the Attack Guaranteed his reelection, and was Granted Full War powers by act of Congress.

The U.S. has meddled in other peoples buisness for decades. The Afghans just thought it was time to get back. Mr. Bush knew it was coming. He even said so. It was his fault that he didn't protect us and even more his fault that he provoked it. The Iraq war has nothing to do with 9-11. One you should keep an eye on is the plan to attack Iran. Another thing the US should not be gettting into but they are. If the U.S. or Israel attacks Iran gas will be going for $9 a gallon and oil, $300 a barrel. Be prepared.

Bush revamped the laws so that he didn't have to ask for permission to go to war.

He shouldn't have gone to war because Iraq never did anything to the US-- neither has Afghanistan. (He wanted an oil pipeline through Afghanistan to other countries that are oil rich. He wanted to build parking lots, airstrips and roads in Iraq where people used to live. Roads for oil)

There was nothing the US to fight back about. The US was like Darth Vader invading and attacking civilians and sweeping the bodies out of the way of the roads to oil-- millions of bodies.

The 9/11 attack is said to be an inside job or an orchestrated job involving a couple of other nations (like Saudi Arabia) at the very least.

It's time for you to get more information so that you can keep up with what everyone is concerned about. Go to the book store and ask for some of the scores of books that high level people are writing. You don't have to buy them, just read the back covers and you'll find out a lot! ;-)

since when did lying become right!!! we invaded under false pretences.. thats is what was wrong... we invaded with no proof of any wrong doing!!! and we still haven't found Osama Bin Laden... and we tore apart a country that was being kept in line... We cannot control the Iraqi people and neither can their current goverment we started a war we can't finish, and added more fuel to the fire of Osama bin Ladens followers... because he told them America's intention was to destroy Iraq years ago and now we have done it... I think going there has made us less safe. I hope for our solidiers safe return and that this doesn't become a bigger mess!

I do & the war was offically approved by Congress & the Senate. President Bush did not start this war without the approval of the country's leaders & the vast majority of the people. The USA has never & can not sit back while Hitler, Stalin or terroists terrorize our citizens or the world at large.

It isn't wrong to defend ourselves. Islamic terrorism goes back to '79.
To all the liberals who will soon say in this post Iraq wasn't a threat to us

Saddam committed thousands of human rights violations along with his sons Uday and Qusay- torture, rape, killings, beatings

By 07 saddam would have had nuclear capabilities

Numerous Al-Qaida training camps were found after the invasion

One of the top wmd inspectors said Saddam had the facilities to start production of wmd's after scrutiny was gone

Saddam did have wmd's-gassed the kurds with sarin gas
