Well, it's just me, the old lady, and a very ugly old dog. We don't drink alcohol. BUT we do eat "high on the hog."

We average about $100 a week. Last week it was $192!

There is me, my husband, 10 year old and a 5 year old, plus 2 nights out of the week I have my 6 year old niece and her Dad for supper. Then there is 1 dog and 2 cats. I spend $150 a week on groceries. Since I am a stay at home Mom I prepare almost all our meals from scratch and we only eat out about once every 6 weeks. I also have a nice garden. We are already eating spinach and lettuce out of it...that helps on the bill. I also put up all our salsa, green beans, corn and okra. Plus, when I shop I shop the sales and use coupons to my best advantage.
Peace.

Here in southeast Missouri, I spend about $90 a week for two adults. My husband's work means that he gets home at odd hours, so I keep a lot of quick and easy suppers such as Stouffer's Skillet Meals in the freezer for him. I also try to keep a good supply of healthy sandwich materials in case he comes in starved, so that makes my grocery bill a little higher than it might otherwise be.

So for a family of four -- especially one that includes a teenager -- you're still doing pretty good.

I spend about $150-$200 a week.
That is for myself, my hubby, my dad, my moocher brother of 46, my 14yr old 90lb son, and my 11yr old 85lb son, and three dogs, and 11 fish.
Whew! My dad and brother do not live with us. I monitor my dad's meals, diabetic.
