It means, either he doesn't have money or a steady job to offer you a good life, or it may mean that he doesn't have anything to offer in a relationship other than a momentary romance... in other words, no promises.

I don't like to hear any of the answers I've seen. My guy tells me I can't offer you anything more right now. I keep hanging on because I love him and I do think he loves me, (at least when he's with me) but when we're not together I think he's just using me. I think someday I'll get tired of the situation and tell him it's over, but I really don't want to.

lol.One harsh lesson I learned in life.A ********* I went out with before kept saying that to me.I never understood what it meant at the time as I believed everyone has something to offer in a relationship.I turned a blind eye to what she said and fought to keep the relationship...stupid me.She ended up putting me through hell after that and dumping my sorry azz at the very end.So the lesson here is if anyone says that to you, dump him like a bad habit and be the first to do it..

It means he either thinks he is neither financially nor emotionally ready to commit to you or it means he's not interested in a long term relationship with you and he's trying to let you down easy.

relationship is give and take. You give each
other love, caring, devotion,attention...
If he has none of the above - run girl in the opposite direction.
