An idiot is obnoxious, loud, and is (or was) in easy classes at school, whereas a moron is someone who is obnoxious and loud inside a high-level class.

Actually, moron is politically incorrect, but it is a medical term. Idiot is a adjective, implying low intelligence, but since it is not a medical term with IQ guidelines, it is subjective and relative to the situation. Proper use: "You moron! How could you do something so idiotic? The two words interchanged word constitute improper use of both words. I cannot believe I was idiotic enough to answer a moron!

the intelligence of the person . an idiot is lower on the scale then a moron. an idiot would be a person who is not at all capable of any amount of self care. a moron can do some self care but is very limited.

I believe that "idiot" is the lowest category in the IQ spectrum.

Idiot IS a scientific term (such as "idiot savant.")

I'm not sure whether or not "moron" has a scientific specification. If it does, then a moron has a higher IQ than an idiot does.

An moron thinks he knows something when in fact he doesn't have a clue. An idiot knows that he knows very little and doesn't try to hide the fact.
