Melinda Doolittle is an American Idol in every sense of the word. When Seacrest asked her to pick sides (a few weeks ago) between one group and another and she sat down on the stage in the middle--getting much deserved applause for not falling for their games.
She is an intelligent, sensitive, and a positive role model for people of all ages and ethnicities besides being a great singer. I hope that the producers acknowledge the backlash that this has caused and change things in the future.
In my years of watching American Idol, I have not heard anyone more deserving of being in the finals than Melinda.
Are Americans just confused as to what a true American Idol should be?! Think back a few weeks...Sanjaya made it into the top ten....that should tell you something about THIS season!
Melinda will do well in the future, despite not making the finals, I'm sure she will still have a great singing career.
With the most deserving person having been robbed of a spot in the final, it's hard for me to watch this show or give it any credibility in the future. If they want to redeem the show, they are going to have to re-vamp the way people vote or work harder find better singers.

I truely believe that Simon makes the final decisions...NOT AMERICA. It is nice that they have it arranged to blame 'AMERICA', so no one will skwak! THERE IS NO WAY IN H E two sticks that Blake is more talented than Melinda...nor Jordan...although she is better than Blake! Thus, the reason for Lakisha to leave so early before Blake!
Simon just threw us off last night on purpose. They have told them not to worry because they will all have great contracts coming there way. Simon probably has a contract already signed by Melinda!
Think about it. Melinda is short and awkard looking....one would have to take a chance giving her the AI title. Jordan, on the other hand is young and pretty and a good bet that she will have a better career with money behind her.
There is more to the votes than we know about. I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY REALLY REFLECT AMERICA. Here in Maryland, our Fox News, which follows the show, had a poll and 94% of the viewing audience said America got it wrong.
Simon, why can't we see the 6 million vote breakdown. I and 95% of WBFF TV does not believe it is legite!
IN ALL FAIRNESS, BLAKE DOES HAVE TALENT...HE JUST MAKES ALL HIS SONGS SOUND ALIKE...NOT VERSITILE ENOUGH! Not 'everybody' enjoys his 'style' of singing...always adding the beep-bop old skool sounds. THAT IS WHY JORDAN WILL WIN. THAT IS WHO THEY WANTED TO WIN AND SO IT WILL BE.

she was talented; the show is a joke...I have stopped watching years ago. But don't feel too bad for ms doolittle. remember jennifer hudson and her oscar winning role in dreamgirls? I do not care who wins on that stupid show. the ones who make the top ten still succeed...whoever wins, more power to him or her.
