First of all, people who have no idea what organic pigments are, tell people they are using vegetable based inks. Wrong.

Secondly, you do not sound to be a professional tattoo artist so, buhbyenow.....

Edit notes - NO PIGMENTS FOR TATTOOING ARE FDA APPROVED!!!

There is ALWAYS a risk with getting a tattoo or body piercing. The following I looked up..... Infection may also occur deep inside the wound, with few noticeable signs at the site. Pain and swelling may develop. The skin over a tattoo or around a body piercing may heal while an infection is present in the wound, causing a more serious infection, such as an abscess or cellulitis. Infection can also spread to involve the bones (osteomyelitis), the joints (septic arthritis), or the whole body (sepsis). Certain diseases may increase your risk for a serious infection. People with diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, or an impaired immune system may require medical treatment at the first signs of infection. There was that 18 year old that had to have her breast removed due to an infection that developed after she had her nipples pierced. I am just saying becareful look into the place she gets it done and make sure they take the precautions needed to keep everything sterile. There is also the rise of MRSA a contagious infection that is on the rise. Check out the net for more info. Just be careful and good luck.

Well, vegetable inks for tattoos do not exist, This is a very common misconception. Last time I checked, vegetable pigments were used for cooking, not tattooing.

Nowadays, tattoo inks are safe and FDA approved and there are a lot of companies and local shops that supply them. You can check out www.camtattoo.com. They have pretty good prices and it might be a good place to start.
