You're absolutely right. Let's give them a chance anyway, huh?

Honestly, I would rather go thru that than to stay with people and a God that claims an eternity of fire and pain and agony is a Merciful punishment for disbelief. I'll sit next to Ghandi... we'll have screaming matches. I bet I win too... he's just a little guy, frail, weak... just tried to bring peace to his nation by being passive. I know I've got better lung power than he does.

I am serious.

People who do not believe in Hell feel at liberty to make such statements. The tragedy will be that they won't appreciate the irony once they end up there. They will be too preoccupied with their agony.

Those that say they do believe but yet make such statements do not truly appreciate what Hell is.

Those that truly believe are Christians.

Right, I'm currently in hell from reading your run on sentence. Here's a hint, and it's got nothing to do with the devil: punctuation!

And maybe they don't know it's an agonizing place, or guess what? Maybe they just don't care, since they don't believe in it.

I often wonder if Christians who get so much pleasure out of talking about hell are the same people who put their children's hands on the stove as punishment.

I think what they're trying to say is that heaven isn't heaven if your friends and family aren't there. That's something I agree with, by the way.

(Also: It's not heaven if God makes you forget about all your friends and family in hell, either.)

Yes, people do say things (I think) without actually thinking about what they are saying.
I would not want anyone to go to hell, least of all my friends.

God Bless.

We say it as a comfort to ourselves, as a joke so it will be less painful. You know when we say we don't care about something, like our friend moving away. We say that to make it "less" painful. They are trying to make "hell" less painful. *laughs*. "What's coming will come, and when it does, there's only us".

No I think you are taking saying to seriously...
you said a mouthful
you can bet your bottom dollar
worthy of his salt
will wonders never cease
when it rains, it pours
wet blanket
waste of breath
These are all sayings...

I don't know, but it is hell, trying to read your question, without any structure to the sentences, fullstops, apostrophes or any sense whatsoever...
