Truthfully, I think its great. Right now in school im learning about slavery and very harsh and senseless things white men and women did the black and other races men and women. To think that in such a short period of time humanity has come to learn to accept all races into one is a stupendous accomplishment.

It’s a good thing, but it will be a lot of work since you do come from two different back grounds. He might think it's not a big deal because of how he grew up, but you might think different and it will come a time when both of you will need to explain to each other why you choose that answer and so will he because you will not be on the same page when it comes to certain issues maybe a lot of times. If you don’t explain to each other neither of you will understand the answer and arguments might arise from that.
You will be doing a lot of communication until both of you understand each other and their views.

I think it shouldn't matter what race the two are, but I do know that some people disagree, so if you're in one, you'll have to accept that there will be some tension from less enlightened people.

As long as both people treat each other with respect and make each other happy, then who cares what other people think? I'm all for it, it's none of my business if they want to date.

My boyfriend is black and I am white, I have never been in an interracial relationship before, he has had many white girlfriends, It seems easier for the guy in my case than the girl becuase his family really disses me. They have been really hurtful and discriminatory, I've never experienced it before, but I'm really in love with the guy so, I'll just have to suck it up and deal with it. He makes me happy, I make him happy, everyone else can**** off!

I think its normal. People are people no matter what their skin color is. The only advice I would give would be to know that there are people out there who would COMPLETELY disagree. Living in the south has taught me that.

I think you cant help who you fall for and anyone who opposes that sucks. We should all be grown up enough to know that skin color and ethnicity don't make people different.

It dosen't bother me. As long as the person makes you happy accept you for who you are, and treats you right.

As they say, "love is blind"... and after all, it's not what's outside that counts, right?
Best of luck to you! ;-D
