I don't think you tell much about a person from a poem.
In general guys don't do the mushy poetry thing unless they think the girl will like it.
Just be yourself and don't worry about who likes you. It's cliche, but with all the freaks in the world, there has to be somebody out there for you.

i prefer a girl who doesnt expect me to like poetry.
but in all honesty...
the word "thang" is a red flag that the girl will want to act like a dude
the line ... "dont let nobody say it aint so" doesnt fit and needs to go regardless due to the cheesy yet ghetto sound of it
actually, the overall phrasing is more consistent with something a guy would give a girl.
assuming i liked the girl to begin with... this is sounding a lot like a girl i would want to be friends with for the simple fact that it lacks femininity
the highlights...are that you seem loyal and the fact that you put forth the effort is good too.
criticism of the poetry aside and all things considered i'd say...
