Yes, because I not only have to make enough change to compensate for my own use, but also campbelp2002's and gimpalomg's and about 100 other people who don't care or don't believe.

It ain't about feeling good or eco-tofu-ism. It's about real estate and business. As in having this real estate be habitable and open for business.

And by the way, the ozone layer was a real deal, but we got on it and fixed it. WE DID. That's a success story for good housekeeping on the planetary level.

No, I am not.

Because climate change is not an extreme problem.

Politically active environmental groups want you to think it is, but it really isn't. It is a problem, but not as bad as some are making it out to be. Cutting off all fossil fuel use would be MUCH more damaging to people than the expected climate change. And it really would take a total ban on fossil fuel to make any significant difference. No gasoline, no coal, no natural gas. OK, maybe we could get away with natural gas, but definitely no coal. None at all. And probably no oil either. None at all could be used ever again to make the change that the extremists think we need to make.

NO
Many proponents of global warming know little science but see this latest "scare" as a very lucrative business opportunity....they will make $ regardless of the weather
...They simply need to force changes in opinion, get legislators "on board" and VIOLA! -->instant market for their "products" and a base of "convinced/ dedicated people who will donate $ for the cause and promote more demands that others comply or be fined...
..snake oil scheme deluxe plus the in-informed yet thoroughly scared/convinced followers ..works every time..

That's a dangerous question. The only real solution is for people to understand what lifestyle changes are necessary and that can't be forced. The good news is that once we as a society decide to that it's important change will happen automatically and very quickly.

I am already doing it.

I am doing exactly what I did in the 70s when these nut cases screamed that we were entering another ice age and would all be frozen be the early 80s.

And I am doing exactly what I did when the same nut cases said we would all be dead of skin cancer by 2000 because we were destroying the ozone.

Now we have the nut case that invented the Internet crying wolf yet one more time.

How many times do you "do gooders" have to be made fools of before you realize these nut cases are playing you like a fine violin?

Oh yeah, what am I doing??? NOTHING.

I will go all the way to fight global warming. If we don't do something about it soon we will all die from the amount of pollution and riseing heat and ocean levels.

Absolutely, we only have one home so is well worth it. Well until we inhabit another inhabitable planet. But that is another story in itself.
