It seems to be covered with some white powder, but it isn't popped up like ich. What is it and how should I treat it? Name some medications or other methods.

I'm sure that it's not fungus or ich. It only looks like that the fish has white skin. Should I be worried?

Could be Velvet or a similar parasite to Ich. You can try something called General Cure by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals. I have used that stuff for treating parasites and it worked great.

Not Ich, but sounds like fungus...I'd try PimaFix, or Rid-Ich...works well for most fungi. Also Platys are toleratant of a little marine salt in the water which the fungus won't like...they are generally more hardy in harder water with a pH of 7.5-8.0.

If its little white spots then its white spot or ich, if so raise the temperature to above 86f, and treat with a proprietary treatment.
