no, i don't think so. i'd say as long as the boyfriend is not older than the girls father it's ok.

I read in Maxim a few years ago that the standard for dating younger women is half your age plus 7, so according to this 26 would be just a little to young for a 41 year old.

while i dont believe 26 is too much at 41 it means the lady is 15 and that is not on --- if both parties are over 20 then if they both care for each other the age gap is not relevant

You know, it really won't matter between age difference. If you love somebody way younger or older than you, it's love that matters. Not the age. My friend has a girlfriend 12 years younger than him, and my friend's dad is 60 and his girlfriend is 34. So why would it matter. Love people for who they are and don't give a care about how older or younger they are than you.

The fact that your asking the question leads me to believe that you think the answer is yes. Either that or you bragging. But if the two of you get along and have things in common an age difference can mean nothing.

Sorry but yes. My family's always lived with the rule 7 years either way. Maybe if you guys have a really good relationship and you and him don't find the age difference, I say stay together. Hey, who am I to interfere with true love? but of course if it's not true love...I think you should end it.

I don't think it is; my boyfriend is 34 and I'm 20. You like who you like. At least you aren't 26 with him 50 or 60, that would be pushing it.

I don't think so. My bf and I are 13 years apart. I met him at 27. Both of you are mature adults and she is well out of high school living her life independently.

Rule is: half your age plus seven is as young as you can go, so...
41/2 = 20.5
+ 7 = 27.5
Yep she is too young for you.
