What's happening right now is I'm writing this answer. Everyone really is in the moment, because that's the only time that actually exists. It's whether or not they are paying attention to what they are doing, as opposed to mulling over what they have done or planning what they will do.
The more you grow accustomed to actually paying attention to what you are doing when you are doing it (including making plans when that is what you are doing, or studying history when that is what you are doing), the better you can do what you are doing.

What is happening now is everything that is happening now, except for the things that are not happening now, but they are not happening now, so they are nothing. But also, they are everything. They must be, since everything is nothing, and nothing comes out of everything, into nothing so....
