Simple answer, they think it's their god given right to do so. That doesn't mean that it isn't going to invite even more terrorist activity within their borders though. It just means they think they can get away with it.

Unfortunately someone built that mosque right inside the Jewish temple ... a bad decision that. The Jewish temple is the holiest site for Jews.
Why do Mohammedans think that Ishmael was offered there? That bends the Genesis account totally, substituting Isaac for Ishmael. Don't you guys have enough sites down in Mecca and Medina without hijacking the Jews most sacred place? You won't even let 'infidel' come close to Mecca so do you have the right to be so demanding about what are basically other people's holy sites?
They should have been a bit more considerate and built the mosque outside the temple site.

You have it a little backwards. The holiest site for Islam is in Mecca, not Jerusalem. It was the Jews' holiest site that the Muslims built a temple on.
Secondly, we're not re-building the Temple. The religious Jews (the ones who have need of a Temple in the first place) believe that only the Messiah can re-build the Temple.

Because it it the holiest Jewish site ever, and never was one of the original holy sites of muslims. They only captured Jerusalem to spite Jews and Christians (the first of which were all Jews). They knew they were building on top of the Temple site, and they ought to have their dome moved to mecca.
What if I built a Catholic Cathedral in mecca? muslims don't have history in Jerusalem. Ishmael never had anything to do with the place, but Isaac's descendants dynasty, from which JESUS descended, humanly speaking, was there from the first.
The Jews can't have a Religion without a Covenant. The Covenant of Moses involved the Temple that was built more than once where the accursed dome now sits, as the throne of antichrist. The only other option for Jews is to recognize the Catholic Church as the Universal People of GOD that Israel grew into, and the New and Everlasting Covenant of JESUS CHRIST as the one to keep. Anyways, the muslims using that site is like a man raping someone's only wife. It is the prophesied abomination that makes desolate.
But GOD will replace the dome of the rock with the Temple that belongs there.

I'm not one to aprove of the destruction of monument but in all logic if muslim have two holier shrine than this one I think they could give it back to the Jews.

they're not - only a few fanatics have mooted the idea. Like the dudes who killed themselves thinking they were going to get a ride on the Hale/Bopp comet, no-one in their right mind is gonna take these freaks seriously, certainly not those in power - so stop worrying about it
