Good grief! Don't get a perm!! Buy some "Curls Rock" product by catwalk. Put a dab on your hair and dry it with a diffuser. Scrunch it up while drying. It will help your hair hold its curl and works great. I use it every day. Then I use hairspray and scrunch a little more.

Dont get a perm, that will reduce the options you have with your hair. To make it curly when you get out of the shower put your hair in a towel for a while just to get some of the moisture out. While your hair is still pretty wet take chunks not too big and twist your hair so its like a braid, but just a twist. Then put a little bit of curling product on it. Curls Up is a good one. Then take that twist and make it like a little ballet bun on your head and pin it down. Leave it in for all night if possible. It should still work if you take them out right before you go to bed, but dont brush your hair or anything. Do this all over your head. Since your hair is thick you probable dont want to make each twist too small then it will take way to long.
Hope this helps!

I have really thin limp hair and I have the same problem so heres what helps me.

When my hair is still wet after I shower I put mousse and a leave in conditioner in it while its damp and brush it through. It makes my hair more malleable (easier to conform how I want it to)

When it is dry and I curl my hair, I use a really hot curling iron or rollers. Rollers are good cuz you can leave them in as long as you want. As soon as I'm done curling I use a good volumizing strong hold hairspray, not the cheap stuff, cuz with cheap stuff you get cheap results. Dont spray too much though, so your hair isnt like stiff, you still want it all nice and natural.

Hope this helps!

1.Well, u cant, really! Lol

2.Use Mousse, then put some gell in, and once ur hair is nice and the mousse and gel are dry, spray it with really strong hairspray!

3.Use Sunsilk! Dont put too much, put a little even if u have a lot of hair! It really works-I have thck hair and i put very little and it really holds it in a nice and shiny glamourous way!

4.A bun-Very cute! Or a side pony!
Or my best hairstyle is in a pony, leaving hair from the front of your head (or if u have long bangs) out when u make the pony, then u take bobby pins or something and put it back over ur head-very cute!

Girl-- DON'T PERM your hair!! Permanent waves are evil! They are made with lye and alkanolamines and all kinds of harsh chemicals. If you want to to keep your curls, use a thermal setting spray (I like CHI 44 Iron Guard) on each section before you curl with a hot iron. Spray the curl with a firm hold hairspray (I like paul mitchell Xtra Body finishing spray) and let the curls cool completely before touching or moving them at all! To curl your hair faster, take sections to curl from the bottom of your head, and move upward. Spend most of your effort on making the curls in the visible areas (top and front) look the best.
To keep your hair shiny and smooth when straightened use a straightening serum (I like Redken Heat Glide), work it into your damp hair from the ends to the roots. Don't put it on directly on your scalp or it'll look greasy. blow dry your hair pointing your dryer down the shaft of the hair to keep the cuticle smooth. Then use the same thermal spray on each section before you flat iron it. Finish with hairspray. It'll stay all day and be sleek and shiny!! Pain is beauty my friend! But it's worth it!!!

Well, you could get a perm... have you tried different hair products? Go to a hair stylist and see if they can help you. Go somewhere like Ulta where there are professionals who can help you find a product that you like. If that doesn't work, find creative ways to do your hair or get it cut in a way that lets you wear it down without worrying. There are plenty of options. Do some research if you are really serious, or go see a professional who can help you find what you want quickly. Good luck!

Holy hair questions. I'll give you advice for one...Lightly spray your hair with a light hold spray prior to curling it. It'll make your curls stronger. Once you've styled, spray the crap out of it with a finishing spray. Paul Mitchell works the best and smells GOOD.

1) if you always want your hair curled, you can get a perm.
2) it will last for at least a couple of months with a perm.
3) lots of nasty products
4) if you have straight hair, just like, ponytails and things.

i know just how you feel. My hair is super thick and frizzy. So what i do is when i take a shower, i just conditioner and not shampoo, then when you curl it, spray your hair with hairspray. When I straighten my hair, i rub biosilk onto it. It keeps it shiny and soft all day.
