go for it, you might be the next Katheryn Kulman, or Amie McPherson.

There is nothing wrong with women being ministers. The only job in the world I feel should not be occupied by a woman is that of a firefighter.
OK OK, don't get all huffy if you're a female firefighter! My husband is 6'4" tall and weighs 300 pounds. There is not a woman alive, firefighter or not, who would be able to rescue him from a second story window if he were unconscious in a blazing fire.
And there's my unrelated rant for the night hehehe.

In the religion I follow, women are priestesses as often, or more often, than men are priests -- in fact, in many worship groups, the High Priestess is the leader with the High Priest as her assistant. And it seems to work perfectly well for us.
In Christian terms, there are several sects that allow female clergy, which in my opinion is an excellent idea. The argument that it's not "scriptural" is ridiculous -- if we took the social mores of a culture from 2000 years ago as a guide for today, we'd still have slavery. Surely we have progressed further than that, far enough to allow women to step up and take their place as leaders in our communities.

I say that is a good dream.................but I would oppose to your question. Now the woman is to support her children in the walls of the home. It would be my opinion that you should still seek to have the opportunity to serve the Lord but remember that you are to raise children and be a mother to them. You can still have the chance to teach the gospel without being a minister or preacher. It's my solemn belief that the mother should raise her children and have that be her primary focus.

As a Catholic I have no problem with it, since women in the Catholic Church can do everything that Protestant ministers do. That of course is totally separate from the concept of women priests, which is not possible.

I have the same dream. I feel a spiritual calling to serve others in the Lords name. I believe all people are created equal in our Lord Jesus Christ, women are just as capable as anyone to preach God's message if we hold him on our heart. The Holy Spirit that dwells within women is the exact same Holy Spirit that dwells within man, so if it is the Holy Spirit which speaks for us how does our earthly body make any difference?

Women can minister on the mission field, in hospitals, in the military, etc. But pastors are men. It is scriptural.

I believe the bible, which teaches women should not have authority over men in a spiritual teaching capacity. My church does not have women pastors and I'm fine with that. We have a thriving women's ministry of bible teaching, but the women who speak are not pastors.
That being said, there are some denominations that have women pastors. So...I guess you just have to read the bible, pray about it...and see how God answers you.

Baptized christians who preach God's Word ARE His Ministers..2 Tim.4:2,5 "Preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and art of teaching....keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, full accomplish your ministry."( 1 cor. 3:5/ acts 20:24/ acts 6:4 )Itis Jehovah God who ordains his ministers, investing them with authority to preach col. 1:25 isa. 61:1,2 isa. 43:10 and then 2 cor. 3:5,6 says "Not that we of ourselves are adequatrly qualified to reckon anything as issuing from ourselves, but our being adequately qualified issues from God, who has indeed adequately qualified us to be ministers of a new covenant."

God has prophetesses (Mariam for one), God has Judges (Deborah), God has deliverers (Esther), God has women of great faith (Lois, yes this is an actual NT person), God has willing servants (Mary, Elizabeth), God has women we can learn from (Hannah, Ruth, Naomi, Tabitha, Mary and Martha), so I see no problem with a woman preacher
I say go for it. if you can preach and understand the word of God well with the help of the Spirit. God's instruments are not limited. whomever He anoints (sets aside for service) is to be supported in my opinion. if you can be a good example for all, I say more power to you
