I would love a little daisy on my foot, however, I am worried about it being perceived as low class. What do you think? Are tattoos OK?

If you're hestitant at all, I suggest you wait. Tattoo shops are not going anywhere, so no need to worry about not being able to get one later on.

If you're getting a tattoo just because "Everyone else is", or if you're worried about what anyone else is going to say, then don't get one. This is a big decision that will be on you forever, so its' good to make sure you want this on you til the day you die.

I suggest you do what I do when I'm thinking about my next piece; research it, find out what it means, look at as many pictures of other ones you can find, and think about what this tattoo really means to you. When you get things that don't mean anything and are just on impulse, you'll most likely regret it later on.

When you do finally decide to go ahead and get whatever you're going to get, find a tattoo shop with a good reputation. Ask for their portfolios, and ask around to others what their opinon of the shop is. When it comes down to the actual time you get it, the artist should be more than willing to go over everything with you and work with you on how you want your peice to look like/where/ect.

Hope this helps.

You'll always be able to find someone who thinks tattoos - or anything, really - are a bad thing.

If you're worried about what others might think, pass on it, much as how you'd pass on changing your hair color, hair style, makeup, piercings, etc. No sense in going into something unless you're sure you want it and it's for you.

If/when it becomes something for you, and peoples reactions positive or negative are (at least mostly) irrelevant, then go for it.

Sorry if this seems harsh. I'm very fond of them, but it's a serious commitment & not for everyone. You're no less a good person with or without tattoos.

I was thinking about getting a tattoo on my foot also but I heard that, because feet sweat and rub against shoes more often than other places, the tattoo fades away really quick. Thats just what I heard from a bunch of college students so i don't know if there's any truth to it but it might be something to look into.

Your not going to be perceived as low class just because you got a tattoo. Although it's a big hit as far as style today, I'm going to have to advise you NOT TO GET ONE or any for that matter. I have 2 tattoo's that I've gotten over the past 7 years & I kinda regret them. Tattoo's are permanent, cost a fortune to get it removed & it doesn't even get removed completely. It's the fact of how ugly it's going to look when you get to your old age (Grandma age). Now, picture your grandma & other old people out there (wrinkled skin & all) in their age 50 & over. Picture them with tattoo's. It doesn't look too good does it?

Tattoos rock! Don't worry about what other people think. Just make sure you get something you won't get tired of. I had a friend once tell me that for her first tattoo she hung a pic of it in her room for a year to see if she would get tired of it. she didn't so she got it. Tattoos don't make you low class, it's all a matter of opinion. Some people like them and some don't. You do what makes you happy!

Skin Art is a personal issue. You need to make the choice yourself and not worry about what anyone else says. If you truely want a tattoo then you should go for it. Just be aware that some people are closed mined and cant stand tattoos etc. As far as the how things are going to look when your a grandmother. Thats just silly. Who is going to be in a position to comment on your tattoos other than you when you are 80 years old? If you are lucky enough to be married and live that long your spouse wont care what you look like with it. Like I said its a personal issue one that you should make for yourself. Good Luck.

Personally,I see nothing wrong with a tattoo. But if you're worried about perception, you might get a tattoo where it can't be seen except by someone very close to you.Hope that helps.

Girl, You just gotta do what you wanna do. Don't worry about what other people will say. DOn't worry about what other people will think. It is all about you and that is it. I just got one 4 days ago and I love mine. I had the same concerns as you do. Eventually I had to just listen to my heart. I went and got it and I love it. Remember you are doing it for you not for anyone else, so you are the only one that matters. The good thing is... it will be on your foot so you can always have the option to hide it if you don't want certain people to see it.

You are the problem. You are unreasonable. Your request is demeaning degrading and abusive. You have a serious problem for even wanting her to do this for the reasons you give. She is not your property and should not even be asked to wear your "brand" on her skin. It will not do one darn thing to stop it if she is going to cheat. If your masculinity depends on her blindly obeying you and allowing this depersonalizing nonsense then I would say you do not have the self confidence or self esteem you think you require and you want to get it by degrading your wife. You are projecting your own behavior onto her. You have cheated and you probably know you will cheat in the future if you are not cheating right now. You therefore think that she is just as much a low life as you are and you feel a need to mark her to bolster your own suspicious feelings of weakness and insecurity. If you loved her you could not think of asking this of her. I think she needs to leave you and find someone else because you are a clueless neanderthal.

DON'T DO IT especially if your hesitant, someday you will regret it and it costs thousands to laser remove it. Also tattoos really hurt when you get it on your feet! Your feet look better natural!
