let me clarify- the "end" as in my career, my goal, my "destiny" if you will... i'm not talking end of the world.

I think it's a good question that many people ask themselves, privately all the time. For me, it's both a practical consideration and 'sort of' philosophical. How much money do I (we) need to survive? How will it effect my self-image (to do this job or that)? Personally, I work to live and don't live to work. I can no longer handle excessive stress, that is inherent with many jobs/ careers. I guess my overall answer is that one must find a balance between and among all the motivating factors, to "work" in the first place. For me, that's: money, feeling productive, and respected...basically in that order. Thanks for the question.

When you even have to ask this question, you are in the 'wrong line of work' ... and the best thing for you to do is not think of this as 'an end' but as a 'new beginning' ... think about what you LOVE to do most, and make a list of all of the jobs that you can do that will FEED THAT LOVE. Then start looking for a 'new job' with that 'career' in mind as your goal. My husband is an 'artist' but he got tired of being a 'starving artist' and went to school for a year and took a 'certificate' as a 'web master.' He now 'goes to work' every day happy, because to him it's 'play' ... and he now brings home $54,000 a year. He did this when he was 43 ... he's 49 now, and is more like a 'happy five year old' when he goes off to 'work' every day. YOU CAN DO THIS TOO! Now sit down and THINK about what you LOVE to do ... and then DO IT, even if it means you'll have to go back to school ... you can do that at ANY AGE and be much better and happier as a person for doing it.

When you really hate it,..hate the people, the hours, the wages..and the benifits don't make it worth it...If you have credentials...you should start sending resumes' in, because you know they always look at you better if you are working for some reason...and move on..it just isn't worth the animosity

You will know the end is now if you get another job offer.

End can come anytime, anywhere, because life is uncertain.
By being connected with God through Christ who died to save us from condemnation, you can be sure of Heaven when end arrives. Never, never, miss Heaven for anything in this troublesome world. God loves you, and you are precious to Him. Come to God with repentance and sincerity, you will be safe for eternity. My best wishes to you for happiness and Heaven!
