no, you will actually gain weight doing this.
sit ups will make your belly look bigger since there is gona be more muscle underneaht the layer of fat
the only fat burning exercise is cardio 4-6 times a week for 30-50min combined with light weight training
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

What is going to help you loose weight is lifting weights. Buy some dumbells, start out with about 5 lbs. Do all muscles in arms (you can look online). Do some calisthenics. JUST MOVE!

So many push-ups and sit-ups will soon bore you to death and isn't a balanced exercise program. It's better to involve more muscle groups.
Try these sites:
http://exercise.about.com/
http://sparkpeople.com/myspark/exercise-program.asp
http://www.freetrainers.com/
Play some music in the background, involve your little sister, and you will have fun! And of course exercise will make you loose weight, but do watch you diet too: loads of fresh fruit and veggies, and cut out the high fat foods like hamburgers, french fries, dough nuts, etc.

Depends on what "watch what I eat" means. Aim for low-cal, high quality food (not junk). Salads and lean protein like chicken. Drink water as much as possible - not diet soda - water is much better. And, make sure you're taking a multi-vitamin because you're a growing kid and you need those nutrients. Good luck!

take your little sister with out out for a fun if she is age 8months to 6 years put her in a walker and she would love you running with her. If she is 7 or older have her ride her bike as you run! sit ups and push up increase muscle and muscle weighs more than fat! watchign what you eat and exercising is the only way. (if you don't want to take yoru lil sis outside for a run, run in place at home while watching t.v.)

if i did that everyday id be ripped. if you can really do that, you will be in good shape quickly. but don't get discouraged if you cant do all 500 sit ups in a day. usually you have to work up to that. if anything, do your limit, and then try to add one or two to it the next time. good luck
