So far, hardly any of you gave it any real thought. Quite telling.

I don't think anyone would know him and many would doubt that he was really who he is. I also think he would have to work very hard proving himself. There is no secular or religious leader in my mind who could even come close.

He has returned already, not as he left tho' but in the hearts and minds of mankind beginning at pentecost. He has resurrected a quickning or life giving spirit. Just as a seed is planted in the Earth, and returns in glory not as it was buried. The Messiah was manifested in the "likeness" of physical flesh but it was the inner workings that is resurrected in the heart and mind of man. He is the comforter, the Holy Spirit and he is manifesting thru the soul of man.

I asked a question similar to this about the second coming. I was told he would be riding flying white horses.

If Christianity wasn't already hard enough to believe, they now bring flying horses into it!!

I've heard Christians laugh at Scientology - How is flying horses different to space ships etc? Same diff! All weird and unbelievable.

It doesn't say "Jesus" will return it says "Christ" will return by coming in the clouds. In other words, the internal sense of the Word will be known.

This is very similar to Jesus Christ telling people that some of that generation would see "Christ" come again. They saw it in the internal sense or interpreted sense of the Word.

If he did return (he's not) no one would know how to recognize him physically and would depend on their vision of the rapture events (not happening either) to verify his return.

He will come with an army of angels. Every knee will bend and every mouth confess that He is Lord. It won't be a question as to who He is.
