Nah not necessarily suckers. Just 100% convinced in the certainty of they are right. And of course you can't play in the in-crowd if you don't spend your life making sure others know they aren't "cool enough to come to the party".
Personally I feel you shouldn't be so 100% convinced you are right all the time cause everyone's failable. But I also feel they shouldn't run around taking such pride in judging others and damning them to hell. It really completely dissolves all their arguments for their religion.
But the definition implies zealots have to be ardent, fervent, extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm. So they have to be a bit crazy to begin with. Maybe the tongue lashing is how they figure out they are "persecuted just like Jesus". lol. Sounds like a sad life, but its the one they love.

No, because once we've answered the question, we don't bother looking back unless we get a best answer and therefore don't see the tongue lashing.
It's the people who ask the questions who are the suckers because they look at the answers.
