Your logic is missing a few screws.
Did matter just pop into existence or did it always exist? Either way, is it more or less logical to think the same thing might be true of an intelligent being of some sort?
When you consider the 2nd law of thermodynamics, the scales tip all the way towards an intelligent designer of some sort, at least for me.
And that's just considering science. If we consider faith, the primary cause of action in all intelligent beings, there's no doubt in my mind about the existence of God. Faith has brought me to an understanding of the purpose of life.

Welcome back.
You'll pardon me, I hope, for adding that you may need to read up on the actual logical reasons for atheism, because in the near future you will certainly need to know them.
Imagine what might have happened if more than two Christians had shown up in response to your previous question? And what happens when you encounter Christians -- hundreds and thousands of 'em -- out in the real world? You don't want to swing wildly between belief and atheism, that's no way to live.
So, take the time to be certain of what you know and how you know it. It's not difficult, but it does require a little study. Good luck.

Who says that God has to come from somewhere? Do you feel that he needs to come from somewhere, just because everyone else has came from somewhere? How do you know God didn't create himself? What if something did create God, such as the universe itself? We all only know what we have learned since we were born. All the knowledge we have gained is through teachings from other human beings, who themselves were taught from other human beings, and so on. Just because you can't answer the question above, does not mean that you shouldn't believe in God. Your belief in God should be based upon you own internal Faith. Think about where you have been and where you are going, Look at life itself. Look at how we are able to communicate with each other, we have the intelligence to invents many things for our survival, neccesities, and even our personal leisure. We have made a whole society and have set guidelines of humanity over all the years of human existance. Something, you should tell yourself, when you actually step back and look at life for what it is, should be that there has to be someone behind all this. An Orchestrator, that has designed all human beings/minds and gave them an intial thought. Therefore the humans are instilled with an initial brain from someone "God", and that brain grows on its own, based on the decisions we make an life. I feel we choose who we want to be, but at the same time, life itself, has a role in who we are as well. The environment someone grows up in can easily shape a person's personality, which can sort of dictate the choices they make in life. It also depends on what that person chooses to accept. Rules in life are set by humans based upon belief and convictions. We choose to follow those rules. We really do not have to, but we have set restrictions and consequences on ourselves, in order to have some type of control. Why did God create us? Who knows why, but that is not a reason to not believe in him. We have not learned the answer. You don't know what you don't know. I believe that God just Creates us and lets us take it from there. We figure out life on its own and we teach others what we believe is the right way. We use our heart to determine many things because that is what we feel. I guess to answer your question. It doesn't matter if God Created himself, of if something Created God, the bottom line is that if you believe he does exist based on Life itself, then you should follow what you feel. It's okay to ask questions, but you shouldn't just give up on your beliefs and convictions based upon a "logical question" that you have no answer to. Maybe you will find that answer from the Creator himself. I am a Christian and I believe in God, so I choose to follow him. As you can see I didn't quote the bible or anything. I just observed his Creation and feel that there has to be someone behind all of this.
As far as all the evil in the world, we as humans have done that to ourselves. We cannot blame God. We have a mind of our own.......... I cannot directly answer your question directly. I don't think any human being can. Again, maybe you will find out from God himself. Follow your heart and make your decision based off of that I hope you choose to believe.......

God comes from within as does all things Godly for God is not a Religion, to condition God as a being created just for us is not only warped it is ridiculous as is to say God was created by another being, God is infinite and God is the Alpha and the Omega, the creator of all things, the Universe itself.
Their is only one God and if your feelings spin a logic based upon conformity and the need to find reason in all things then your scientific assumption which is based on all logic can only therefore draw that kind of conclusion!
The mysticism of life would be rather dull if we knew the logic of it and the logic of what was to come from our existence. That's why we are spiritual beings and to find the reasons ourselves through not only God but his creation, Earth and all the universe.
You base your beliefs upon a means of Christian faith, yet God is not an Institution only man made him this...
All religions are man made, in Biblical text to doctrine!
All God did was give us freewill and give us the means to learn and evolve from each other!
To search out the answers of life through our souls as well as our hearts and minds, for God is in everything , he is not confined to houses of brick and stone and certainly not religious text!

So lemme get this straight, you based the major decision of whether or not to have faith in a higher power, one of the most influential decisions of your life, on the results of a yahoo answer? lol the athiests can have you
BTW sweetheart, your "logical" question implied no logic whatsoever, you weren't asking for a christian perspective, you were asking for an athiests, so thats what you got
want answers to christianity? search your heart and the Word, it takes persistance, clearly a quality you need to work on

It's really sad the way we humans are. We have grown so used to segregating the elements of our perception: separating blue from green, mammal from reptile, logic from religion........that we fail to see the essential link that binds all aspects of existence together. When we learn to change our present mentality of segregation, only then can our eyes be opened to the truth. Let me give everyone here a little lesson - this is how you link religion to logic: God is the ONLY LOGICAL EXPLANATION. punto final.

Or, you know, there's the whole... erm... "burden of proof" thing. That supports atheism as well. Also concepts like the principal of falsifiability or Occam's Razor. All of these are logical concepts that are satisfied only by atheism.

logic is illogical........logic only applies to the 5 sense physical reality that we're trapped in....when you start to open up the other 90% of your mind and see through the illusionary sigil that is blinding everyone from true reality, then you can make that kind of decision!
