I see and hear a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot, lot of people saying that Christianity makes the most sense..
So are you saying that Jesus (pbuh) sacrificed him self like the Egyptian people use to do to keep the river Nile flowing?
or are you saying that if jesus (pbuh) would have sacrificed him self even if Barabbas was chosen to be killed instead of him?
Or that God the all knowing did not know that people were going to do sins..
or that God had Jesus (pbuh) without sex yet there can never but anything with out something....
There are so many versions of bible that contradict each other. that makes sense?
Your opinions? No offense

One thing I demand of my religion is that it makes sense. And, to me, Christianity doesn't make much sense at all. I guess that's why I'm not a Christian. But I do believe that all religions ultimately lead to the Creator of All and that each person in on the spiritual path that is right for them at this point in time.

Lol, I'm guessing I was one of those people. No offense taken. I'm betting Muslim to you "just makes sense." And I wont even pretend to be one to contradict that.
1) No. Jesus's sacrifice was something completely different, he died so that we might live. The punishment for sins is always death. Jesus took our sins upon himself when he died to free us from punishment.
2) Barabbas would never have been chosen. God hardened the hearts of the people against Jesus.
3) God knows all possiblities. But one of his gifts to man was free will. He wants our absolute love because we choose to love him, not because we are forced to.
4) It wasn't nothing without something. Mary was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and no I don't mean sex.
5) The wording might be different, but the message in all of them is the same. Love God. Love each other. So long as we have Love, we have everything.

It does make sense when you believe, but as the bible says, the whole world is actually being deceived in various ways (false religions, atheism, materialism, etc) by Satan.

When you believe, you are forgiven and come to know it ... so its very clear it is true. And you get the gift of the holy Spirit, that is , God's Spirit.

I think people often deceive themselves, they think they are good enough to go to heaven. Others are in religions doing 'good works' such as the 5 pillars of Islam, but such an approach is declared categorically inadequate, 600 years before Mohammed's ideas.

The sins of every person, as well as character that is depraved in God's sight (not in ours), needs to be dealt with.

Hence .. being born again and having your sins forgiven. God also transforms the lives of christians who learn to "walk in the Spirit" (walk close to God and rely on the Holy Spirit for victory) into righteousness. This is how God wants people to become good. Trying to be good in one's own strength actually doesn't work, except if you keep your ideas of goodness to appraisable externals.

1. he was our substitute for sin
2. Barabbas's would never been chosen because Christ was the Messiah and it had to go the other way Barabbas was a medifore for Jesus taking a sinners place.
3. virgin birth thru the Spirit of God, that's why Jesus IS the Messiah and not any other common man

1) if you want people to like you, I suggest you stop calling Him (pbuh). it sounds like spitting

2) the Egyptians sacrificed people to the river god "happi" the crocodile as to keep 'terrors of the water' out of their land

3) Jesus was destined to die. He chose to die for humanity. so yes, He would have. but He was hated anyway, so they fulfilled the scriptures: "they hated me without cause"

4) what are you talking about? of course god knows. but He doesn't stop people from having a will.

5) so you're saying Allah is incapable of having a Son, then? as you believe God and Allah are the same.

they don't contradict. you read it wrong. I think you should really consider actually doing some research before attacking. evilbible.com is sooooo limited it's hilarious! perhaps the old saying "history repeats itself" is true after all. many 'great' generals, great armies have fallen because they did not know what they were up against...

This is a misdirected question. What could you possibly expect a Christian to say, versus what a Muslim would say, verus what Jew would say versus what an atheist would say. Each theist will say that their religion makes the most sense and the atheist will say that none of them are logical in this day and age.

Am I missing something here....? We ALL (babies, people who never heard of the bible, etc) deserve to go to hell because a magical talking snake convinced one woman thousands of years ago to eat one fruit? Isn't that just a little unfair? And what the hell was wrong with eating the fruit anyway? Whats wrong with knowledge of good and evil? If Adam and Eve couldn't comprehend evil, how could they understand that eating the fruit was wrong? Hopefully your question was just a really bizarre joke....

No. You don't make sense but God does. Have you bothered to read the Bible to grasp the meaning or significance of the atonement? God is alll knowing he foretold of man falling short and the reason he can't be joined to sin. He foretold of his plan of salvation in the first scriptures he sent to us the first book of Moses. which versions do you consider contradicting? have you read any version? The word of God has from the time of Moses to the present day foretold of mans sin and God's righteousness and his plan of salvation.
Do you realize that YOUR Allah says he is the God of the Bible when you insult the Bible you belittle your god?
Can one of you Muslims tell me how you claim to worship your Allah and make fun of him at the same time? Is allah not the God of Abraham are these not his words? Is your God powerless to stop someone from changing his word? Does Alllah apprciate you guys saying we changed his words and made him out to be a fool and he was powerless to stop it?
Allah calims the Torah and the Bible including the Gospel and says no one can change his word....So you must surely agree you worship a liar! No offesnse as you say.

FAQ: Are "Swedenborgians" Christians?

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, Jesus Christ is the "I AM" or God Himself in a visible body.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." -- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" -- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM." -- John 8:58

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Good, the Truth and what comes forth from the marriage of Good and Truth, or the two elements of God and the resultant action, just like the soul, the body and the works in a single person. Emanuel Swedenborg did not start a church, produce a new Bible, or claim to have written scripture. Instead, Swedenborg claims to have been allowed to write down angelic wisdom in a new and more accurate doctrine for the Christian Church. This doctrine or "Universal Theology of the New Church" seeks to prove through reason and good interpretation that Jesus Christ is indeed the King of kings and Lord of lords who alone can enlighten individuals as to Jesus Christ's (or God's) sovereignty and divinity. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can instruct mankind from the Bible (for the books that are scripture in the Bible see above) and the Lord appears to mankind in truth from the Word.

"Swedenborgians," as all Christians do, acknowledge that the Word [or Bible] is holy and that the Lord possesses the divine, and these two are essentials of the Christian church. See Divine Providence n. 256 [3].

Islam contradicts reality as well. Why not just give up on religion instead of picking away at others while trying to promote your own.
