Does anyone have ideas for my new room?

Question

I'm 13 and i like stripes. I'm a bit punk rocker and I like the colors red, lime green, bright neon blue, black, and orange. Stripes on the walls and maybe a cool bedding set would be good. I don't have a budget but I would say no more then 300-450 $. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

1] I would buy a comforter in a stripe pattern you like, and repeat that pattern behind the bed [ say north wall for descriptive purposes ].Use the colors in it for the paint.
2] Then, paint west wall red [ color # 1 ]. Paint south wall lime [ # 2 ], and east wall orange [ # 3 ].
3] Paint ceiling blue or black, with day [ sun, clouds] or night [ moon, stars ] accents, depending on brightness of rest of room.
4] Curtains should be the same pattern as bedding or one of the solid colors.
5] try to get as many accessories as possible in one color [ prob. blue or black ] so the room is fun but doesn't make you dizzy!

well, you should paint your room lime green and then put bright neon blue little stripes every where. Get a bed set made of dark colored wood because that would look really cool. Paint the ceiling black and put glow-in-the-dark stars on it. And if your parents let you, then maybe get carpeting like a cream, or white color.*

hello, designing new rooms are just exciting!

first you should have a primary color. (choosing a secondary color is also be recommended since it can be your major accent.) your other favorite colors can be a minimal accent to your room.

paint 3 of your walls with your favorite color say example, lime green BUT, a soft shade of that color. then the last wall which will be your accent wall can be painted with stripes of your other preferred colors. i also have a wall with stripes and it makes my room alive. i only did the stripes on 1/3 of my accent wall. the stripes starts at 1.3meters above floor line and the thickness of each stripes varies to make it more appealing. you can do your stripes on the whole wall..depending on your preferences.

your bedding can be a statement too. choose something that is first comfortable to you. then pick a design that has a reflection of your character. since you are a bit of a rocker, then guitar designs or something mildy wild bedding will do. if for example your primary color is lime green, maybe you can choose a shade of that color.

your curtains can be a darker shade of limegreen.( this is only me assuming lime green is the primary color. ) or other colors from your stripes.

keep furnitures in one color as much as possible..example: all white shade..or all wood..

your accent pieces can be colors of your stripes. you can even hang a prized possession in another wall. example: a guitar, a picture of you or something you love, a painting or even a picture that is framed that has a color of most or every color in your striped wall, a personalized tapestry... ANYTHING is possible.

dont overdo everything. keep everything minimal so that it wont be a headache. remember, this is your refuge. the primary concern is for u to sleep in a comfortable room and of course, a room designed specifically with your choice.

I wold paint your room the w/ primer first, then lime green, then make diag. stripes in black then add neon blue stripes against the black ones. But I would make the black stripes bigger than the nblue ones. You could kinda make the stripes wavy.
