i am trying to get a general idea if my chicken prices are to high or not. $7.60 for a 6 lbs chicken and $6.35 for a 4-5 lbs chicken. to high to low or just right?

All depends where you are. Some places, that might be a deal, other places might be too high. If you're in Alaska, that's probably cheap. If its Seattle, look for a better deal.

That sounds pretty good to me. Though the chicken sounds kind of heavy, like a roasting chicken. Fryers are usually 3-4 pounds, that's what I get because they are more tender.

I would only justify that price for "organic" or local foods. If you are an individual supplier with, or working with, a local farm, then OK. As you have probably noticed at the local grocer, a Tyson (or comparable) goes for around a buck a pound. If your product is superior, the price is justified. Good luck!

1.27 for a chicken is pretty good. Most places want more.
However are you going to be able to eat that much chicken - how many ppl are you cooking for ??

Both seem a tad high to me. I can get a whole chicken for $4.50-$6, depending on size. (Safeway)
