Judging by the posts, apparently not. However....
If the Bible is the word of God, as passed to mankind by God, which some know-it-all thought I'd be greatly impressed with told me, how does it come to pass (see the Biblical speak there, good, eh?!) that in the Ten Commandments 'thou shalt not kill' is featured very prominently but the big guy kinda forgets about that when he decides to annihilate Sodom and Gomorrah? Or when he kills all the first born in Egypt? Or is it one rule for the big guy and one rule for all the wee mortals down here? Or is it simply that the Bible missed out one wee line. Should it actually be 'thou shalt not kill... unless it's not a Christian, then it's ok?' The Bible is full of contradictions, that's just the most prominent of them.
People, you are all entitled to your faith. Just be aware that non believers will take the p*ss secure in the knowledge that if you can't see it, hear it, feel it or touch it, or even be directly affected by it, it isn't there and it doesn't exist. May your God strike me down now if I'm wrong... Argghhh....

Just kidding :)

Which God??
God the Father who demands punishment for sin also allows for forgiveness of even the worst criminals among us. There is a contradiction in that, and yet one righteous act can redeem a murderer. The God of Evil demands an eye for an eye, the Savior demands love for your enemies. The AntiChrist speaks only of the end of the world, the True Christ promised to redeem the world. Demons and their followers seek darkness, angels guide seekers to light and enlightenment.
It is men who seek and find the contradictions. It is men who twist the truth and make it lies, it is men who interpret the Bible for their own opinions and purposes, it is men who practice both the good and the evil. Contradictions are everywhere, but the point is what you yourself choose. This life is all about you and the choices you make.

I am a catholic and I would be the first to admit the bible has contradictions, but things like Adam and Eve are not actually meant to be taken literally, its a good book, a book of laws, and it spans over thousands of years between authors, many books have been removed and it has been re-edited so many times and changed language also. So, it is very easy to find inconsistencies in it. But strangely many archaeologists have used it to their advantage because of its accuracy, and astronomers have been able to date it because of our new technology with the stars. The book has proven itself time and time again, and I think its kinda like me telling an atheist they can't pick and choose how to be one. The fact is faith is just like a thumbprint, and no single person has the same definition. Personally, the four simple gospels are enough for me.

Oh No, I misread the question, anyway I stand by my sermon given above.:-P And no, God does not contradict himself, he is God. Man contradicts him though.

Christians won't see the contradiction. They believe god is perfect. If humans think there's a contradiction, they're just wrong. Anything involving logic or independent thought is a waste of time with the believers.

God’s be conscious is inerrant, yet regrettably guy’s translations are no longer continually so. often all it takes is slightly digging to sparkling up the plain contradictions. Your occasion of Ahaziah’s age is a solid one. in accordance to 2 Chron. 21:20, if Ahaziah replaced into 40 two whilst he began to rule, he would have been older than his father who replaced into 40 whilst he died and Ahaziah succeeded him. 22 is the main appropriate age and 40 two is an glaring translation blunders. Your different occasion isn't different. Like maximum issues Bible inerrancy is an argument of the middle. (many people who dispute inerrancy are quite finding for a reason to no longer have confidence God’s be conscious.) in case you initiate by technique of trusting God and do slightly homework once you detect an obvious contradiction, you’ll locate your theory shown. yet once you initiate by technique of doubting Him and seem for the form to assist your doubts you will detect them too. and you gained’t ought to do any homework. The link under is a solid place suitable initiate.
