Hah, that is pretty funny. If your schedule is that close, there are hundreds of little things that could make you late. A neighbour walking out the same time as you says "hi", a child leaves his bicycle in your driveway, a work crew is fixing a pothole, somebody else has an accident blocking your lane, you have to wait for an ambulance, any of those could really make you late. Control your own time better, don't speed when you do end up late (that is the action of an immature idiot), and assume any and all public displays of time or temperature are there for information only.

How do you know your time (7:00 am) is correct?
How do you know the display clock on the road is correct?
Unless they are synchronized to some standard time reference such as WWV - and calibrated for drift - one or the other is probably inaccurate.
The wreck you cause is your own fault. Can't blame this on anyone else, or their clock.
Next time, you should leave your home at 6:45 am so you will drive more safely and arrive early at your destination.

Being late does not justify unsafe driving. The accuracy of the road-side clock isn't relevant, because you have a responsibility to drive safely regardless of what you see on the clock.

No, because the driver made a conscious decision to go faster. Just because he was in a rush to get to work is no excuse to speed or be reckless.

are you serious. you got in a accident because you were driving like a idiot. don't try to blame it on someone else. what if the clock was 10 minutes fast, would you drive even faster. i bet you were real late that day.

You aren't serious are you? How can they be responsible for your stupidity? If the clock wasn't there would they be responsible because they didn't tell you the time? Take responsibility for your own mistakes and stop looking to blame others.

Yes of course, it's always somebody else's fault, not yours. After all, you're only controlling your car.
